They come in a large variety of calibers, each one acting in different ways

Generally 5.56mm is what you'll find the most of since I'm pretty sure it's still used by the US military

It's really small and tends to fly right through people

AR10 has a lot more of the higher caliber shit

You could just buy an AR in a different caliber than 5.56, because people do make them in different calibers too

There's a lot of debate over which gun is best but I think as long as you're comfortable with it you should be fine

The only reason I call it the best option is because it's widely available
