2017-02-01 15:42:43 UTC

O rings aren't that expensive.

2017-02-01 15:43:45 UTC

What were they for?

2017-02-01 15:43:55 UTC

mech keyboard

2017-02-01 15:44:01 UTC

Figured lol

2017-02-01 15:44:11 UTC

Man

2017-02-01 15:44:28 UTC

they genuinely make gat reds feel like rubber domes

2017-02-01 15:44:34 UTC

Makes me fucking laugh when I see Mechanical Keyboard o-rings on Ebay and shit

2017-02-01 15:44:46 UTC

They sell for like 20 dollars

2017-02-01 15:44:53 UTC

lmao

2017-02-01 15:44:55 UTC

When they're just bought in quantitiy and put in a bag.

2017-02-01 15:46:38 UTC

@fbn Wish fbn would answer me

2017-02-01 16:21:02 UTC

<@135743726789197824> if you scroll up, i asked first, and fbn already answered "yes", it's an anet a8

2017-02-01 16:21:26 UTC

serves him right for posting a 3d printer. it's just going to invite a lot of curious questions

2017-02-01 16:21:30 UTC

:3

2017-02-01 16:21:44 UTC

Oh my bad

2017-02-01 16:21:47 UTC

I did a quick skim

2017-02-01 16:21:51 UTC

Fuark

2017-02-01 16:21:58 UTC

I was so close yesterday to pulling the trigger on one

2017-02-01 16:22:02 UTC

are you looking to get into the hobby for fun and profit too

2017-02-01 16:22:14 UTC

it's a nice cheap beginner's kit

2017-02-01 16:22:17 UTC

Yeah

2017-02-01 16:22:25 UTC

my next is gonna be a corexy thing though

2017-02-01 16:22:26 UTC

I've already picked out all the upgrades

2017-02-01 16:22:50 UTC

Oh

2017-02-01 16:22:52 UTC

a lot of the upgrades are sorta big

2017-02-01 16:23:00 UTC

A reprap?

2017-02-01 16:23:25 UTC

how big is the build volume on that?

2017-02-01 16:23:51 UTC

the anet is a prusa-style printer, the biggest difference between the prusa and the corexy is the fact that the bed is stationary on the corexy

2017-02-01 16:23:57 UTC

Yeah

2017-02-01 16:24:29 UTC

Well the anet is just a carbon copy of the Prusa i3, but the frame is acrylic

2017-02-01 16:24:49 UTC

I'm attracted to the Anet for a while because of how large the community is for it

2017-02-01 16:24:52 UTC

yup and it may be tempting to get an aluminium frame

2017-02-01 16:25:45 UTC

but i think it's better to just either leapfrog the whole community for corexy (which is growing in popularity) or learn everything you want on the anet and eventually upgrade to an original prusa i3

2017-02-01 16:25:57 UTC

Yeah

2017-02-01 16:26:00 UTC

Or the mk2

2017-02-01 16:26:11 UTC

or mk3 or mk4 or whatever it is by then

2017-02-01 16:26:55 UTC

the multi-stepper extruder head thing for quad filament is a big motivator but it does seem like an incremental step

2017-02-01 16:27:23 UTC

anyway yeah anet a8 is great

2017-02-01 16:27:31 UTC

you should just go for it. worth the price.

2017-02-01 16:27:43 UTC

don't print ABS and you won't worry about heatbed issues

2017-02-01 16:27:54 UTC

Just would cry at the thought of waiting so long for it to come and then sometihng being broken

2017-02-01 16:27:58 UTC

don't be an idiot and the board won't catch on fire

2017-02-01 16:28:01 UTC

Would just replace the heatbed

2017-02-01 16:28:16 UTC

it only took 2 or 3 weeks and i ordered it just before christmas

2017-02-01 16:29:53 UTC

the problem isn't the heatbed so much as inadequate cooling and sizing for the amount of current that runs into the heatbed** circuitry

2017-02-01 16:30:20 UTC

since PLA doesn't require the heatbed to be on, that

2017-02-01 16:30:24 UTC

is a nonissue

2017-02-01 16:30:25 UTC

Well

2017-02-01 16:30:33 UTC

I do want to print ABS at one point

2017-02-01 16:30:40 UTC

I want to use it for RC parts

2017-02-01 16:30:54 UTC

I've seen people just put panes of glass on it

2017-02-01 16:30:57 UTC

gears?

2017-02-01 16:31:09 UTC

or aesthetic components

2017-02-01 16:31:10 UTC

Nah, probably quad stuff

2017-02-01 16:31:19 UTC

Quality, I don't really care tht much about

2017-02-01 16:31:40 UTC

ok yeah boxen are easyish- i had some bowing on some initial prints but it's a calibration thing

2017-02-01 16:31:52 UTC

Yeah

2017-02-01 16:31:54 UTC

i haven't had much luck with gears yet unfortunately

2017-02-01 16:32:15 UTC

but such is the life of 3d printing

2017-02-01 16:32:19 UTC

lol

2017-02-01 16:32:21 UTC

for now

2017-02-01 18:18:12 UTC

its assembled

2017-02-01 18:18:15 UTC

but somethings wrong

2017-02-01 18:18:32 UTC

will continue on weekend

2017-02-01 18:42:54 UTC

Takstars?

2017-02-01 20:15:50 UTC

It was ALMOST PERFECT

2017-02-01 20:15:59 UTC

but the 3G wouldn't work here

2017-02-01 20:16:58 UTC

>ok

@myuutsu what no name trash is that

2017-02-01 20:50:31 UTC

is it even reviewed on Techtablets?

2017-02-01 21:10:04 UTC

4gb ram and gsm for 140$ is pretty impressive

2017-02-01 21:10:51 UTC

@myuutsu Built quality is merely acceptable I assume?

2017-02-01 21:15:28 UTC

@Furfag yeah I had some no name as my first android phone and it was fine

2017-02-01 21:18:42 UTC

This was my first phone android

2017-02-01 21:38:43 UTC

gott strafe england

2017-02-01 21:45:27 UTC

my jam

2017-02-01 22:45:07 UTC

Whats wrong, why is banggood censoring negative reviews? I've seen 5 stars reviews say that the product is absolutly horrible or came damaged

2017-02-01 22:45:46 UTC

I don't think they are

2017-02-01 22:45:51 UTC

oh

2017-02-01 22:45:53 UTC

that's new

2017-02-01 22:46:32 UTC

Chinese sellers hiding negative reviews isn't a new thing though

2017-02-01 22:46:53 UTC

It happened on Gearbest too

2017-02-01 22:46:57 UTC

and AliExpress

2017-02-01 22:47:04 UTC

only place they can't do that on is eBay

2017-02-01 23:34:14 UTC

is there any reason to not buy chinkshit cables

2017-02-01 23:34:25 UTC

i mean

2017-02-01 23:34:29 UTC

unless you need one immediately

2017-02-01 23:40:53 UTC

i presume youre talking about audio cable?

2017-02-01 23:41:01 UTC

Cables are pretty easy tech, hard to fuck that up

2017-02-01 23:42:13 UTC

Well if you need it right away, maybe you'll just buy in a local store

2017-02-01 23:42:21 UTC

But if you can wait weeks, if not over a month

2017-02-01 23:42:39 UTC

That said, Ive had 3 cables go bad on me

2017-02-01 23:42:52 UTC

out of the 15-20 I remember buying

2017-02-02 00:07:57 UTC

nah i got an hdmi cable

2017-02-02 00:33:06 UTC
