Empirical claims are always subject to error. Emotion that motivates one to believe in God that is without error is not an empirical claim. Therefore faith is not an assumption about reality, it is a totally different idea that is reckless and irrational. But still present nonetheless. Open to judgements, but not readily overcome by them.

ehhh i dunno i think its pretty easy to brainwash yourself, i do it quite a bit to adopt beliefs to allow me to get through situations that dont sit with my innate ideals

What we know as reason, empiricism and reality is a temporal sensibility.

When you get really into the Truth, you can start talking with God in your head, using his viewpoint to make moral decisions, ask clergymen what they've discovered about Him, and even joke around with Him
