Do Fascists have an argument for God?

2017-06-13 01:30:46 UTC

They're pretty neutral on the subject.

2017-06-13 01:31:50 UTC

"State is not indifferent to religious phenomena in general nor does it maintain an attitude of indifference to Roman Catholicism, the special, positive religion of Italians. The State has not got a theology but it has a moral code. The Fascist State sees in religion one of the deepest of spiritual manifestations and for this reason it not only respects religion but defends and protects it. The Fascist State does not attempt, as did Robespierre at the height of the revolutionary delirium of the Convention, to set up a "godโ€ of its own; nor does it vainly seek, as does Bolshevism, to efface God from the soul of man. Fascism respects the God of ascetics, saints, and heroes, and it also respects God as conceived by the ingenuous and primitive heart of the people, the God to whom their prayers are raised."

2017-06-13 01:31:53 UTC

That's a mistake,

2017-06-13 01:31:59 UTC

This was from The Doctrine Of Fascism

2017-06-13 01:32:02 UTC

I agree

2017-06-13 01:33:03 UTC

you're a mistake

2017-06-13 01:33:14 UTC

If a system does not possess a positive and active imagining of God, it will inevitable fall into atheist materialism. First categorised by vague notions of folk religion.

2017-06-13 01:33:25 UTC

kek

2017-06-13 01:33:48 UTC

That was actually Antonio Salazar's major criticism of fascism

2017-06-13 01:34:11 UTC

"Our Dictatorship clearly resembles a fascist dictatorship in the reinforcement of authority, in the war declared against certain principles of democracy, in its accentuated nationalist character, in its preoccupation of social order. However, it differs from it in its process of renovation. The fascist dictatorship tends towards a pagan Caesarism, towards a state that knows no limits of a legal or moral order, which marches towards its goal without meeting complications or obstacles. The Portuguese New State, on the contrary, cannot avoid, not think of avoiding, certain limits of a moral order which it may consider indispensable to maintain in its favour of its reforming action"

2017-06-13 01:34:44 UTC

Salazar was a devout Catholic

2017-06-13 01:36:15 UTC

๐Ÿ˜ฆ

2017-06-13 01:37:40 UTC

Thanks for the reference. Regarding Fascism and Catholicism, I think it is possible for them to work together in some limited conditions. However, Catholicism is non-consequencial. The specific political system is not necessary, only maintaining correct social conditions within it.

2017-06-13 01:38:01 UTC

At least as I understand it.

2017-06-13 01:38:23 UTC

Fascism is very versatile and can be changed easily.

2017-06-13 01:38:38 UTC

This can be seen in it's radically different manifestations across different nations.

2017-06-13 01:39:22 UTC

There were atheistic fascist movements, such as Hitler's and Mussolini's, but also Christian ones such as Franco's and Codreanu's.

2017-06-13 01:39:32 UTC

That's also a weakness. Become too fluid and all process loses firm meaning.

2017-06-13 01:39:40 UTC

This is very true

2017-06-13 01:40:02 UTC

It can lack that unifying factor outside of it's nation.

2017-06-13 01:41:12 UTC

It's a strange contradiction. Hardline Fascists believe (I think) that there is something inherently superior with its system.

2017-06-13 01:42:01 UTC

Most modern fascists have a very poor grasp of the ideology.

2017-06-13 01:42:06 UTC

They just cling on to Hitler

2017-06-13 01:42:07 UTC

This lack of higher principal is one of the reasons why I moved away from it.

2017-06-13 01:42:25 UTC

Understandable

2017-06-13 01:42:53 UTC

Oswald Mosley was an interesting character in British politics.

2017-06-13 01:43:10 UTC

Indeed he was

2017-06-13 01:44:40 UTC

I think the biggest problem that modern fascists face is that they don't understand the nature of the ideology and assume that they can recreate the NSDAP in the US. Which not only cannot work but goes against the idea of fascism being specifically designed to suit the specific nation it is in.

2017-06-13 01:45:28 UTC

kek

2017-06-13 01:45:29 UTC

lol

2017-06-13 01:45:46 UTC

Yeah. Fascism can not exist in the US. I'm not a Fascist but some ideas of Fascism are decent.

2017-06-13 01:45:55 UTC

Fascism can exist in the US

2017-06-13 01:46:00 UTC

imo

2017-06-13 01:46:16 UTC

well

2017-06-13 01:46:17 UTC

It can but it will have to be something uniquely American

2017-06-13 01:46:22 UTC

Please elaborate.

2017-06-13 01:46:23 UTC

not the US in its current form

2017-06-13 01:46:44 UTC

Fascism is a worldview based on Truth

2017-06-13 01:47:03 UTC

A US fascist movement, for instance, cannot be fixated on racial purity, as it is something that has never really existed in America.

2017-06-13 01:47:25 UTC

>Fascism is a worldview based on Truth
What did he mean by this?

2017-06-13 01:47:35 UTC

It's something I never really understood myself

2017-06-13 01:47:50 UTC

It's something that is often said on IronMarch

2017-06-13 01:47:56 UTC

@Deleted User He's just an autist, don't worry about him.

2017-06-13 01:48:04 UTC

He voted for Jeb.

2017-06-13 01:48:13 UTC

kek

2017-06-13 01:48:18 UTC

A fascist nation tries its best to have policies based on the history of nation , the people of nation and policies based on the current situation a nation is in

2017-06-13 01:48:45 UTC

IronMarch is incoherent. Their publications read like it was written by a 14 year old.

2017-06-13 01:48:51 UTC

Yeah

2017-06-13 01:48:53 UTC

kek

2017-06-13 01:49:02 UTC

2017-06-13 01:50:06 UTC

James Mason said that he wanted to destroy Christianity and replace it with "Universal Order"

2017-06-13 01:50:08 UTC

Who wants the Soviet Union back.

2017-06-13 01:50:21 UTC

Mason actually converted to Christianity

2017-06-13 01:50:24 UTC

Really?

2017-06-13 01:50:28 UTC

>Still supporting Trump

2017-06-13 01:50:36 UTC

2017-06-13 01:51:09 UTC

2017-06-13 01:51:17 UTC

2017-06-13 01:51:24 UTC

2017-06-13 01:52:01 UTC

im writing in Jeb for the rest of my life

2017-06-13 01:52:06 UTC

Same

2017-06-13 01:52:13 UTC

USSR contributed so much to Marxist theory. I already read exclusively their theory when studying Marxism. It is by far the most practical and comprehensive.

2017-06-13 01:52:26 UTC

Forget Drumpf or Ted "Zodiac Killer" Cruz.

2017-06-13 01:52:39 UTC

Slavros the founder of Ironmarch is actually Pro-USSR

2017-06-13 01:52:51 UTC

and Stalin

2017-06-13 01:53:02 UTC

So?

2017-06-13 01:53:05 UTC

2017-06-13 01:53:16 UTC

That's weird.

2017-06-13 01:53:20 UTC

nothing just thought it was something funny I could bring up

2017-06-13 01:54:54 UTC

I believe that Holocaust happened but not to the extend which people think. Also, the Holodomor was real in my view.
