But I would say though that Israel used to be a much better country especially closer to its inception - say 1940s and 1950s. But since then it has become massively corrupt morally. Palestinians have been essentially running terror ops and their response to the very fair UN whole partition plan from 1947 was to declare war so I don't necessarily have much sympathy for them in that early era but in the 1990s-2010s era they've been completely fucked over unjustly by Israel.

oh, good question. Depends a lot on *which school of socialism.*

1) for Marxism-Leninism, go for *Fundamentals of Marxism-Leninism* (1960), by Kuusinen, its very good summation of that school
2) for Mutualism, *What is Property?*, *General Idea of Revolution in XIX Century* and *Principle of Federation* by Proudhon should be good
3) for Yugomarxism, anything by Mihailo Markovic, Gajo Petrovic and the Praxis School scholars should do a good job
4) for Marxist Social Democracy, or socialist gradualism, go for Karl Kautsky (Dictatorship of Proletariat, Social Democracy vs. Communism etc)
5) for Libertarian Marxism, there's *Workers' Councils* by Anton Pannekoek which is a pretty remarkable work in its own right

These are some that I can think of at the top of my head. There's other stuff of course like syndicalism etc. but I think this will do just fine
