Wait, for now. There's a chance the country may unfuck itself, but it's best to be prepared. Build some pride, have a common ground to rally to. It's likely time and natural attrition will take care of a lot. If california actually breaks away, it'll set off a chain reaction.

Add in the likelyhood of martial law in places like detroit or chicago if things get any worse, and it's not so much breaking away that is an issue, but just keeping together during the breakdown.

I'm a author, actually...i'm a little nervous about saying what, but i do have a bit of following, and i'm not exactly new to the wring game. That said, having something published would be...unreal. More then happy to deliver a few stirring speeches and bash out some nationalistic pamphlets in the meantime...

It's funny, wide used to be the standard "let's all get along" kinda puff head. Now, she feels pride in being who we are, and just rolls her eyes at each new scandal and march of progress. We joke that basically what we want from life is Harvest Moon, with wifi. A nice little community that helps eachother without being up eachother's ass too much, has enough luxury stuff to be pleasant without being too showy, and encourages self-sufficiency. Silly that something like that is a mad, derided dream.

Yeah...grow and raise crops and critters, trade or sell it for cash or other stuff, put on local festivals. Know you can let your kids outside to play. Have friends and family willing to help, willing to be a real community. Let your children grow up knowing that hard work is rewarded. How long since that's been a thing?

I'm all for advancement. It's silly to ignore the march forward of technology and such...but i think we've hit the point where we realize that something that is new is not, inherently, better then what is old. We gave up our hearts and souls to those who told us they'd help us poor, backward blue collars, and when we offered up our industry, our farms, our families and traditions, they said "thank god, now we can get all that old nonsense away". It wasn't always like how it is. We used to just...do things. Want honey? Go find bees. Need a chair? Fucking build one, or find a buddy who knows, and trade with him. It's amazing seeing that we didn't always need a nanny over us making sure we were all cared for. Stay with me now, but we used to actually take care of ourselves! Even when we started up with factories and cities, we still had a community that actually meant something beyond a buzzword.

Yeah dude. Ive been thinking about stuff like that recently. I think a big part of why we've let our cities, towns, cultures, etc fall apart is that lack of community. Id like to use this group to get some more community stuff going, because I believe once we kind of group together and are more concious of common goals and improvement we'll see the (((problems))) clear as day
