I've tried www.routerlogin.com but every time I put in the login redentials it just doesn't work

2017-02-19 16:44:09 UTC

Have you done user = admin, pass = password

2017-02-19 16:44:31 UTC

Yup

2017-02-19 16:44:36 UTC

Did fuckall

2017-02-19 16:44:42 UTC

if that doesn't work on the bottom or somewhere on your router the should be a sticker with the admin details on it

2017-02-19 16:44:59 UTC

If that didn't fix it, we'd just reimage the computer using generic backup image from our server. That fixed almost everything that a restart didn't. If it still didn't work, it was a hardware issue and that's when it got really fun.

2017-02-19 16:45:05 UTC

That's what I originally typed in. That didn't work either for ome reason

2017-02-19 16:45:56 UTC

The only repair that really stands out though was the one time we had to remove the top half of a laptop and replace it because the screen was totally destroyed. All we got for an answer was that it was an accident. But honestly if I had to guess, I'd say he took a sledgehammer to it.

2017-02-19 16:46:22 UTC

The back side of the laptop lid was split open.

2017-02-19 16:46:54 UTC

Backup are the key to tech support also people are fucking stupid with hardware and laptops like boi come on.

2017-02-19 16:47:09 UTC

@Oxigin Are you the only one that could login to the router?

2017-02-19 16:47:46 UTC

Also you tried to fix that laptop? I would have bin it

2017-02-19 16:48:14 UTC

Currently, no. I'm not the main admin, to my knowledge.

2017-02-19 16:48:17 UTC

We had three backups. One for Windows 2000 desktops, one for Windows XP desktops, and one for the Windows XP tablet PC laptops that we bought for every student that year.

2017-02-19 16:48:40 UTC

If the problem wasn't immediately obvious and a restart didn't fix it, we'd just reimage it with the relevant backup.

2017-02-19 16:49:37 UTC

Windows XP best annime.

2017-02-19 16:49:48 UTC

Sounds like a pretty sweet setup for a HS

2017-02-19 16:49:57 UTC

At the time the only other choice was Vista and we weren't doing that.

2017-02-19 16:50:12 UTC

Vista was such a resource whore that none of our computers could run it anyway.

2017-02-19 16:50:31 UTC

Also @Oxigin someone might have change the admin login

2017-02-19 16:51:48 UTC

You think Vista is a resource whore. Wait till you have a whole company that where all running windows 7 then over night they all get switched to 10

2017-02-19 16:52:22 UTC

Could be, but I don't ever remember being told about it. That's something I'm normally told about.

2017-02-19 16:52:47 UTC

Microsoft got pretty scummy there as the free period for Windwos 10 was coming to an end.

2017-02-19 16:52:59 UTC

Forcing a lot of computers to update to it without the owners' knowledge.

2017-02-19 16:53:14 UTC

A lot just woke up one day to find they now had Windows 10.

2017-02-19 16:53:53 UTC

Hoii!

2017-02-19 16:54:04 UTC

@Oxigin Hmm i'm not sure then that's the only thing i could think of

2017-02-19 16:54:24 UTC

I'll figure something out

2017-02-19 16:54:49 UTC

Also yeah they did I have heard some horror stories of support staff running around trying to downgrade everything and failing horribly

2017-02-19 17:03:20 UTC

Microsoft snuck in some innocuous looking things inside normal Windows updates that were checked automatically as recommended priority updates that, in reality functioned more like a virus and would download in the background, the Windows 10 install and then upgrade the computer to it when it wasn't being used.

2017-02-19 17:11:07 UTC

I don't know what I did but I think I got Skyrim working.

2017-02-19 17:15:23 UTC

Nope. Just got back to my original problem of it crashing on save load.

2017-02-19 17:15:44 UTC

gg

2017-02-19 17:15:53 UTC

It's brand new.

2017-02-19 17:16:00 UTC

$1000 gaming PC.

2017-02-19 17:16:08 UTC

prebuilt or

2017-02-19 17:16:18 UTC

It ran Skyrim just fine for a month and all of sudden the crashing issue started.

2017-02-19 17:16:28 UTC

I tried clean installing Skyrim and still didn't work.

2017-02-19 17:16:29 UTC

It's a Win10 problem you said, wasn't it?

2017-02-19 17:16:46 UTC

That's not what's causing this problem.

2017-02-19 17:17:17 UTC

I'm someone you'd hire to fix that.

2017-02-19 17:17:22 UTC

And I can't get it to work.

2017-02-19 17:17:28 UTC

^

2017-02-19 17:17:49 UTC

It's SkyrimSE right?

2017-02-19 17:18:07 UTC

just change your IP address ๐Ÿ˜‰

2017-02-19 17:18:20 UTC

bottom text

2017-02-19 17:19:22 UTC

Yes.

2017-02-19 17:20:38 UTC

Yeah, that's just a Skyrim SE problem. I remember I had a framerate problem with Fallout New Vegas and uninstalling it and reinstalling it immediately didn't work. So I unistalled it for a few weeks and it worked.

2017-02-19 17:20:50 UTC

Maybe uninstall Skyrim for a week or so

2017-02-19 17:20:51 UTC

idk

2017-02-19 17:22:33 UTC

Not sure, I just joined today. but mostly games and tech as far as I've seen

2017-02-19 17:22:35 UTC

My problem is that it worked just fine for a few weeks then all of a sudden just stoppped working.

2017-02-19 17:24:00 UTC

Same thing happened with Fallout. Installed it and it worked for a couple of weeks then all of the sudden problems were arising. have you done any reseach on the problem?

2017-02-19 17:24:02 UTC

Delete it all again and reinstall it and be even more conservative about the mods I install.

2017-02-19 17:24:15 UTC

Yes I did, nothing helped.

2017-02-19 17:24:20 UTC

hmm

2017-02-19 17:24:57 UTC

Maybe when the script extender is released.... there's plugins for it that help reduce crashing.

2017-02-19 17:25:34 UTC

I've heard that they're not working on a script extender for SE. But idk, could've been a bullshit story

2017-02-19 17:25:49 UTC

No they are.

2017-02-19 17:25:53 UTC

or maybe it was alking about the consoles

2017-02-19 17:25:58 UTC

It's SkyUI that is refusing to port to SE.

2017-02-19 17:26:10 UTC

I wanna diiiieeeee

2017-02-19 17:26:11 UTC

Oooooh, yeah

2017-02-19 17:26:46 UTC

Hello memelords

2017-02-19 17:27:00 UTC

They're mostly just doing it to snub the community in retaliation for the entire community turning against them when SkyUI enthusastically embraced Steam's paid mods.

2017-02-19 17:27:39 UTC

I doont feel welllll

2017-02-19 17:28:10 UTC

I mean, I understand that, but it's still kinda of a shit move. SkyUI is pretty much essential for anyone playing Skyrim on PC

2017-02-19 17:29:07 UTC

They said they were going to cease all free development of SkyUI and that all futher updates would be on the paid Steam Workshop version only. The community did not take it well and they got very insulting. The SkyUI team that is. The community was much more mature. The SkyUI team attacked the community, called them toxic, entitled brats, and all sorts of other names. they burned a lot of bridges over it so it didn't matter that paid mods died fast. No one wanted anything to do with them after that.

2017-02-19 17:29:21 UTC

It's the main reason why they are refusing to port to SE either on PC or consoles.

2017-02-19 17:29:36 UTC

huh

2017-02-19 17:29:45 UTC

well then

2017-02-19 17:30:15 UTC

Well, I mean, porting SkyUI to consoles would be pretty pointless tbh

2017-02-19 17:30:33 UTC

It's a M/KB optimised menu system

2017-02-19 17:30:59 UTC

Honestly I think SkyUi is butt-ugly and not worth it. A few simple UI patches that fix clickable areas is good enough.

2017-02-19 17:31:11 UTC

All the good that SkyUI really is that it has the mod configuration menu.

2017-02-19 17:31:17 UTC

That was a seperate mod in other games.

2017-02-19 17:32:04 UTC

Eh, I like it. Navigating the inventories and such becomes a real pain with M/KB without it

2017-02-19 17:32:25 UTC

I don't necessarily agree that the existing UI looks bad. It just has some easily fixed problems with the click area for options. I don't see why it has to be made so ugly.

2017-02-19 17:33:40 UTC

Oh my god

2017-02-19 17:33:45 UTC

I agree that SkyUI looks like shit XD It's not about how it looks, it's about how it functions. And the default UI just doesn't work well with M/KB\

2017-02-19 17:33:55 UTC
2017-02-19 17:34:05 UTC

It fixes the most serious and annoying problem with the UI.

2017-02-19 17:35:57 UTC

controlling your game and making it easy to control is pretty important, so yeah

2017-02-19 17:36:51 UTC

sup dudes

2017-02-19 17:36:59 UTC

sup

2017-02-19 17:37:16 UTC

But not to the degree it's hyped up to be. In general PC gamers greatly exaggerate UI problems. And often claim there is a problem when there isn't one and what they're really saying is that "I'm butthurt that the console version has a functional, stable UI."

2017-02-19 17:38:34 UTC

so hows life dudes?

2017-02-19 17:38:52 UTC

Definitely not to that degree, no. But it is a bit of a pain to navigate Skyrims default UI with M/KB without the use of external UI mods that make it more M/KB friendly.

2017-02-19 17:39:01 UTC

eeeyy

2017-02-19 17:39:15 UTC
2017-02-19 17:39:45 UTC

Worst offender in recent memory was Dragon Age: Inquisition's PC fanbase. They kept whining to no end about UI problems that didn't exist just because they were sore that the console versions integrated UI elements that used to be exclusive to the PC version of Dragon Age Origins. And they didn't like no longer being *superior* and threw such a tantrum over problems that didn't exist that they delayed BioWare's efforts to patch the game which delayed fixing serious game braking dialogue bugs
When the game launched you could not finish the main quest because certain dialogue cutscenes would lock up and the controls would stop responding and you'd just be stuck there with the NPCs just standing there doing nothing. Because of the childish whining of the PC community this was not patched until patch 4.

2017-02-19 17:40:03 UTC

Same deal with MGSVs UI. It's well designed and works fine, but there is no mouse support for navigating most menus in the game witch makes it kind of an annoyence to use.

2017-02-19 17:41:02 UTC

Well, that's just the entitled side of the PC community that we don't talk about tbh XD

2017-02-19 17:41:06 UTC

Not all PC gamers are entitled, arrogant, selfish children like this. But the ones that are sure do seem to get their way whenever they want.

2017-02-19 17:41:11 UTC

Then ruin it for everyone else pff

2017-02-19 17:41:32 UTC

It doesn't matter if most are not like that since these ones are so loud and in your face.

2017-02-19 17:41:35 UTC

Us PC gamers just reap the rewards that the whiney ones bitch and complain for

2017-02-19 17:42:21 UTC

And when they complain about a problem that doesn't exist purely to spite consoles and it ends up delaying patches for EVERYONE, PC included?

2017-02-19 17:42:59 UTC

what's this new term for Horror games now

2017-02-19 17:43:14 UTC

"walking simulator" "Cinematic Movie"
