Microsoft snuck in some innocuous looking things inside normal Windows updates that were checked automatically as recommended priority updates that, in reality functioned more like a virus and would download in the background, the Windows 10 install and then upgrade the computer to it when it wasn't being used.

I don't know what I did but I think I got Skyrim working.

2017-02-19 17:15:23 UTC

Nope. Just got back to my original problem of it crashing on save load.

2017-02-19 17:15:44 UTC

gg

2017-02-19 17:15:53 UTC

It's brand new.

2017-02-19 17:16:00 UTC

$1000 gaming PC.

2017-02-19 17:16:08 UTC

prebuilt or

2017-02-19 17:16:18 UTC

It ran Skyrim just fine for a month and all of sudden the crashing issue started.

2017-02-19 17:16:28 UTC

I tried clean installing Skyrim and still didn't work.

2017-02-19 17:16:29 UTC

It's a Win10 problem you said, wasn't it?

2017-02-19 17:16:46 UTC

That's not what's causing this problem.

2017-02-19 17:17:17 UTC

I'm someone you'd hire to fix that.

2017-02-19 17:17:22 UTC

And I can't get it to work.

2017-02-19 17:17:28 UTC

^

2017-02-19 17:17:49 UTC

It's SkyrimSE right?

2017-02-19 17:18:07 UTC

just change your IP address 😉

bottom text

2017-02-19 17:19:22 UTC

Yes.

2017-02-19 17:20:38 UTC

Yeah, that's just a Skyrim SE problem. I remember I had a framerate problem with Fallout New Vegas and uninstalling it and reinstalling it immediately didn't work. So I unistalled it for a few weeks and it worked.

2017-02-19 17:20:50 UTC

Maybe uninstall Skyrim for a week or so

2017-02-19 17:20:51 UTC

idk

2017-02-19 17:22:33 UTC

Not sure, I just joined today. but mostly games and tech as far as I've seen

2017-02-19 17:22:35 UTC

My problem is that it worked just fine for a few weeks then all of a sudden just stoppped working.

2017-02-19 17:24:00 UTC

Same thing happened with Fallout. Installed it and it worked for a couple of weeks then all of the sudden problems were arising. have you done any reseach on the problem?

2017-02-19 17:24:02 UTC

Delete it all again and reinstall it and be even more conservative about the mods I install.

2017-02-19 17:24:15 UTC

Yes I did, nothing helped.

2017-02-19 17:24:20 UTC

hmm

2017-02-19 17:24:57 UTC

Maybe when the script extender is released.... there's plugins for it that help reduce crashing.

2017-02-19 17:25:34 UTC

I've heard that they're not working on a script extender for SE. But idk, could've been a bullshit story

2017-02-19 17:25:49 UTC

No they are.

2017-02-19 17:25:53 UTC

or maybe it was alking about the consoles

2017-02-19 17:25:58 UTC

It's SkyUI that is refusing to port to SE.

2017-02-19 17:26:10 UTC

I wanna diiiieeeee

2017-02-19 17:26:11 UTC

Oooooh, yeah

2017-02-19 17:26:46 UTC

Hello memelords

2017-02-19 17:27:00 UTC

They're mostly just doing it to snub the community in retaliation for the entire community turning against them when SkyUI enthusastically embraced Steam's paid mods.

2017-02-19 17:27:39 UTC

I doont feel welllll

2017-02-19 17:28:10 UTC

I mean, I understand that, but it's still kinda of a shit move. SkyUI is pretty much essential for anyone playing Skyrim on PC

2017-02-19 17:29:07 UTC

They said they were going to cease all free development of SkyUI and that all futher updates would be on the paid Steam Workshop version only. The community did not take it well and they got very insulting. The SkyUI team that is. The community was much more mature. The SkyUI team attacked the community, called them toxic, entitled brats, and all sorts of other names. they burned a lot of bridges over it so it didn't matter that paid mods died fast. No one wanted anything to do with them after that.

2017-02-19 17:29:21 UTC

It's the main reason why they are refusing to port to SE either on PC or consoles.

2017-02-19 17:29:36 UTC

huh
