personally while working in IT i found that "most" windows updates tend to fix light fluff bs and more often then not cause people to come in with corrupted os's and in general stopping updates prevents the "constant" downloads and 1-3 hour installs etc; honestly just updating some anti-viruse's is mostly what ya need
