Apparently, you don't understand that the two are at completely different scales.

2019-04-04 05:39:59 UTC

They are not exactly comparable.

2019-04-04 05:41:05 UTC

that was in school books

2019-04-04 05:41:10 UTC

pushing the indoctrination

2019-04-04 05:41:26 UTC

memes have been around for quite awhile, pushing lies

2019-04-04 05:41:35 UTC

or truths, depending on who is using them

2019-04-04 05:41:41 UTC

flat earth is our reality

2019-04-04 05:41:46 UTC

regardless of what you think, its the truth

2019-04-04 05:41:52 UTC

truth doesn't change because of your beliefs

2019-04-04 05:42:03 UTC

you ever think that if maybe everyone smarter than you doesnt believe in flat earth that maybe its not credible?

2019-04-04 05:42:07 UTC

@^Kevin^ Can I ask what type of education you have?

2019-04-04 05:42:20 UTC

I have a bachelors in business

2019-04-04 05:42:27 UTC

in computer info systems

2019-04-04 05:42:44 UTC

BS, bachelor of science

2019-04-04 05:42:57 UTC

So, nothing Physics related?

2019-04-04 05:43:11 UTC

I had physics chemistry and some other science stuff

2019-04-04 05:43:20 UTC

I'm well versed in it

2019-04-04 05:43:26 UTC

there is still stuff I don't know

2019-04-04 05:43:29 UTC

I don't know everything

2019-04-04 05:43:31 UTC

Hi yโ€™all

2019-04-04 05:43:33 UTC

my IQ is only 133

2019-04-04 05:43:38 UTC

then why assume these flt earth sources are legit?

2019-04-04 05:43:44 UTC

Illuminati confirmed !

2019-04-04 05:43:54 UTC

when there is stupid amounts of evidence against flat earth

2019-04-04 05:44:00 UTC

Why act like you do know that it is flat?

2019-04-04 05:44:07 UTC

what are you talking about HS?

2019-04-04 05:44:36 UTC

I'm not assuming flat earth sources are legit

2019-04-04 05:44:38 UTC

If your only knowledge about physics is extremely limited, why act like you know better than those who have spent much more time studying it than you?

2019-04-04 05:44:49 UTC

2019-04-04 05:44:52 UTC

I verified with my own experience what is real

2019-04-04 05:45:09 UTC

you see the sun thru clouds its like a street lamp in fog

2019-04-04 05:45:26 UTC

the sunlight is coming off it at such an angle that its obviously a local light

2019-04-04 05:45:37 UTC

Have you taken any optics classes?

2019-04-04 05:46:07 UTC

I''m familiar with perspective

2019-04-04 05:46:32 UTC

Most people understand perspective, but optics is more complicated than that

2019-04-04 05:46:36 UTC

as you can see the sun shrinks as it gets further away from you and the light diminishes, sun's light is local

2019-04-04 05:46:51 UTC

What do you mean the sun's light is local?

2019-04-04 05:47:10 UTC

I only see the light diminish when it goes behind the clouds

2019-04-04 05:47:33 UTC

even after the sun sets, you can still see the sun coming off the sun, a little

2019-04-04 05:47:45 UTC

of course clouds will affect it

2019-04-04 05:48:00 UTC

a huge storm will make it hard to see the sun

2019-04-04 05:48:05 UTC

The time it takes for light to get from the sun to the Earth is about 8 minutes I believe, hence the delay.

2019-04-04 05:48:11 UTC

If that's what you're talking about.

2019-04-04 05:48:28 UTC

the night sky doesn't go immediately dark even after the sun has gone over the horizon

2019-04-04 05:48:42 UTC

it takes time before the sun is far enough down range form you that its light no longer reaches you

2019-04-04 05:48:58 UTC

if you rise in altitude you can bring it back into view

2019-04-04 05:49:07 UTC

Exactly, that's because it takes time for the light to get from the sun to the earth.

2019-04-04 05:49:18 UTC

sun is local

2019-04-04 05:49:30 UTC

sun and moon are same size and roughly the same distance away

2019-04-04 05:49:40 UTC

lunar and solar ecplise is them going in front of each other

2019-04-04 05:49:41 UTC

And then of course there's the curve, allowing light to stay over it and refracted internally off of the atmosphere

2019-04-04 05:50:23 UTC

Where's the proof that the sun and moon are the same size?

2019-04-04 05:51:06 UTC

out of interest do you guys think mensa is part of the illuminati or whatever it is?

2019-04-04 05:51:07 UTC

The idea it takes several minutes for sun light to reach us, is based on the theory itโ€™s 93 million miles away. And nobody can determine the sun or moonโ€™s real size. Anybody saying different is straight up lying.

2019-04-04 05:51:25 UTC

cant determinin it exactly

2019-04-04 05:51:28 UTC

We can and we have determined it

2019-04-04 05:51:34 UTC

but they have more resources than flat earth science

2019-04-04 05:52:08 UTC

I assure you, nobody has actually measured distances or sizes of celestial objects. Itโ€™s all theory.

2019-04-04 05:52:24 UTC

then why are there space telescopes?

2019-04-04 05:52:31 UTC

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/484514023698726912/563239459173171200/image0.jpg

2019-04-04 05:53:07 UTC

context of that?

2019-04-04 05:53:10 UTC

No, because we can predict the movement of the other planets in the solar system. That's why we are able to land stuff on Mars.

2019-04-04 05:53:19 UTC

i think we have the diameter of the moon pretty nailed down

2019-04-04 05:53:30 UTC

Cosmology isn't astronomy

2019-04-04 05:53:34 UTC

if you believe science

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/484514023698726912/563239740057321482/image0.jpg

2019-04-04 05:53:51 UTC

How accurate is it?

2019-04-04 05:54:01 UTC

Exact.

2019-04-04 05:54:09 UTC

What all does it predict?

2019-04-04 05:54:22 UTC

its one of those things they would have on ships or whatever

2019-04-04 05:54:26 UTC

its not exact

2019-04-04 05:54:45 UTC

@Derek Nelson didnt you just say we couldnt measure bodies in space exactly?

2019-04-04 05:55:00 UTC

"I assure you, nobody has actually measured distances or sizes of celestial objects. Itโ€™s all theory."

2019-04-04 05:55:05 UTC

Then how did the astrolabe work?

2019-04-04 05:55:13 UTC

How were they able to predict this stuff?

2019-04-04 05:55:21 UTC

BALLOON ROCKETS DO NOT PUSH OFF A VACUUM: https://imgur.com/C8Y0NCn

2019-04-04 05:55:21 UTC

If they couldn't measure it, that is?

2019-04-04 05:55:40 UTC

That isnโ€™t measuring their sizes or distances. Itโ€™s simply predictability in movement.

2019-04-04 05:56:03 UTC

The shape of the straw is not the same as the shape of the nozzle.

2019-04-04 05:56:29 UTC

There's less of a surface area for the air to push the vehicle forward

Yeah sure whatever

2019-04-04 05:57:08 UTC

Lol.

2019-04-04 05:57:09 UTC

Such shit

2019-04-04 05:57:16 UTC

@Human Sheeple didnt someone just send you a link of rockets working in a vacuum a while ago

2019-04-04 05:57:25 UTC

and you ignored it

2019-04-04 05:57:31 UTC

Why is that not CGI, but NASA's photos are?

2019-04-04 05:57:46 UTC

@tripolarbear post it up please

2019-04-04 05:58:35 UTC

that experiment is inconclusive because its not done well enough with the rocket

2019-04-04 05:58:56 UTC

a running fan will not move a feather in a vacuum

2019-04-04 05:59:05 UTC

shows why rockets don't work in a vacuum

2019-04-04 05:59:13 UTC

Those are two different scenarios

2019-04-04 05:59:17 UTC

same
