Up to 100MB of file sharing (run by good goys): https://mixtape.moe/

Still looking for/working on: a collaboration suite like Google Docs. Our own private file hosting.

This channel is intended to be used for electronic resources, organizing platforms and such.

2017-04-25 22:59:24 UTC

not bad, good domain name

2017-04-26 04:04:35 UTC

Is there a demand for a secondary chat more secure than this? There are options, they're just less convenient than discord.

2017-04-26 05:17:25 UTC

Threema is widely used. We in the Seattle BC use it as our primary communication tool but it's pretty much a mobile only option.

2017-04-26 05:17:57 UTC

Mobile anything is not secure

2017-04-26 05:20:28 UTC

Threema is encrypted, the keys are generated on the device. It's not perfect but it's one of the best options.

2017-04-26 06:57:34 UTC

After doing some cursory research Threema looks to be a decent option. I would rate it probably lower than protonmail but higher than Twitter and Discord. Tbh, there's no real reason to use it over Discord unless we get to the point that we believe our group is being specifically monitored or something, since all *sensitive* communications can be relegated to ProtonMail.

2017-04-26 15:19:16 UTC

I'm not happy that Threema's desktop options are very limited but Discord is good enough.

2017-04-26 16:34:14 UTC

Threema isn't a great option. Tox would be better imo

2017-04-26 16:45:33 UTC

https://tox.chat <= looks promising

2017-04-26 16:51:22 UTC

I have communicated with many people on that platform with no issues

2017-05-17 18:15:36 UTC

@Uberhat can I get an @APB group created?

2017-05-17 22:39:40 UTC

@blackhat 16 As in a thread or a completely separate server?

2017-05-17 22:41:18 UTC

I'm not sure, same as for example the <@&304026039766482955> ?

2017-05-17 22:42:15 UTC

I could create a thread that only people with the proper role could access

2017-05-17 22:42:22 UTC

Or multiple threada

2017-05-17 22:42:31 UTC

It's up to you really

2017-05-17 22:42:46 UTC

DM me what you want i created the APB role just now

2017-05-17 22:44:54 UTC

I just want a means of notification to APB personnel so I can say things like "check your protons" and a select few would get the notification. I guess our PM works for that. I was thinking something not so private.

2017-05-17 22:45:54 UTC

I could do that dm me who you want added to the role and then all you'd have to do is mention it in the private thread and everyone would get the notification

2017-05-17 22:46:08 UTC

@AmericanPatriotsBrigade

2017-05-17 22:46:16 UTC

Hm did I misspell it?

2017-05-17 22:46:56 UTC

@APB there

2017-05-17 22:47:20 UTC

Someone has to be in the group for it to be mentioned maybe

2017-05-17 22:47:40 UTC

You, me, Justin, and Nathan

2017-05-17 22:47:46 UTC

So far

2017-05-17 22:47:58 UTC

Got it <@&314532855164436482>

2017-05-17 22:48:30 UTC

Awesome. Ty!

2017-05-17 22:48:48 UTC

What's nathan's screen name?

2017-05-17 22:49:11 UTC

Also if you could let me know geographical roles for new server member's I'd appreciate it

2017-05-17 22:50:04 UTC

Nathan is @pitrunner1776

2017-05-17 22:50:12 UTC

<#314534900839612416> channel set up only people with the <@&314532855164436482> role can access it

2017-07-11 01:34:54 UTC

@seapea tox chat is infact very secure, for maximizing security incase of a scenario as such tox is for sure the way to go

2017-07-11 02:15:28 UTC

The one Tox client for Android I tried sucked but given it's early stage in development I couldn't blame it.

2017-07-11 02:46:42 UTC

No need for tox if you're using a mobile device. The hardware is compromised. Doesn't matter how secure the app is.

2017-07-11 03:01:32 UTC

lmao^

2017-07-11 03:01:39 UTC

"what is opensource hardware"

2017-07-11 03:02:13 UTC

"what is a ROM for a phone"

2017-07-11 03:20:57 UTC

"what is the NSA"
"what is GPS"

2017-07-11 03:22:13 UTC

I'd like to see one of these mobile processors that are 100% verified to be free of backdoors

2017-07-11 03:24:43 UTC

This is what the NSA could do in fucking 2008 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NSA_ANT_catalog

2017-07-11 04:31:42 UTC

Look up CopperheadOS my friend

2017-07-11 04:31:57 UTC

Read through the entirety of the documentation

2017-07-11 04:32:01 UTC

Then tell me the flaws

2017-07-11 04:32:22 UTC

Do you know what opensource is?

2017-07-11 04:33:16 UTC

NSA technology literally is nothing special, they run fucking windows servers lmao

2017-07-11 04:33:52 UTC

"What is a coded switch for GPS, what is a cell tower fitler"

2017-07-11 07:51:50 UTC

lol

2017-07-11 07:52:52 UTC

I still haven't seen this open source phone with a processor that's not backdoored

2017-07-11 08:00:15 UTC

idgaf how secure your software is if your hardware is compromised

2017-07-11 08:02:15 UTC

maybe if you're incredibly autistic and can source the right parts you can build a secure mobile device, but they are not very accessible and I don't expect many here to own a device like that

2017-07-11 08:03:27 UTC

I'm just going to say have fun getting rekt by the NSA with that attitude. They have a lot of resources, and it's foolish to underestimate them.
