@ here is all online @ everyone is everyone, @ whitey is at everyone on whitey tier
and this can cause painful death
I've disabled nearly all notifications
same
server settings: notification : none, suppress @ everyone, disable push notifications.
You would have to turn all notifications off, yes
Hey goys
I have a theory
But then you have to manually check for new content in the good channels
i thought you said turn off notification for the app, not the server.
dankula are traps?
When pork isn't properly cooked,it can contain tapeworms
Islam was invented during a time where cooking wasn't very advanced
its danks server, is there ever new content?
Sure, in the non scatboy channels
Do you think pork is banned in islam due to the diseases it caused
During muhammad's time
Possibly
and that this can be applied to other restrictions in other religions as well
Earlier
They're offshoots of Judaism
i believe there are a lot of rules in various religious texts that was based around health reasons
then please tell me why you can't buy a car in Texas on Sunday from a dealer?
Sabbath
God rested and ye shall too m8
And God said, thou shall not trade transportation for shekels on the Sabbath
even homosexuality being "bad" could come from that. "Hey, you get shit on your dick, you could get an infection. so perhaps sticking your dick into a literal shit production duct is not a good idea"
It also doesn't result in babies
And when you're trying to outgrow other religious groups that's important
True. Babies are an important source of nutrients
Makes warriors stronger than other tribes
cow babies maybe ๐
I'm pretty sure most babies are edible
That's a pretty well agreed upon idea
I don't know where I'm going with this
organized religion is no different than government, or at least turned a form of government that has just lost most of its power so now they are more like "guidelines"
Many religious rules were made for good reason whether they were up front about what those really were
so just like most laws, their rules were made for a reason. most of them usually to try and solve a true problem. and perhaps a few for control
and just like most laws, most people only follow the ones they like, and just tried to avoid being caught violating the ones they didn't
But without understanding what parasites really are, or what that germs exist it's easier just to say "hey don't eat these ya dummies, God says so" than to try and convince people that its somehow related to disease
Also God doesn't place as much emphasis on the unborn as Christians seem to like to think
Murder? Stoned. Disrespect your parents? Stoned. Work on the Sabbath? Stoned. Lay with a man? Stoned. Beat a woman til she miscarries? Eh, the husband and judges will decide your punishment as long as that's *all* you did
plot twist, Jesus wasn't god's son, he was just a hipster and god was so full of humanity's shit he just went "christ, why can't you guys just be like him?" and everyone was like "OMG, DOES THAT MAKE HIM YOUR SON?" and go was just like "yeah, sure, whatever, just follow his example"
Also Leviticus sucks
Worst pacing ever
I wonder if jesus said he was god's son so he could be trusted
I like the idea that it was more like Life of Brian.
given how people seem to flock to random people and make them celebrities for no reason (*cough* Kim K *cough*), and i firmly believe humanity has not changed much if at all.
A good amount of religions also have the "dying for our cause gets you a rad afterlife" rule since that will of course make people more willing to die for your cause
Hard to get people to be suicide bombers without some sort of after life incentive
Also ww2 Kamikazes. Kamikaze translates to "divine wind". Japan was a theocracy after all with the emperor being divine
Helped the Vikings in their military pursuits as well
@Deleted User primitive storing and cooking is a big factor in the number of food borne illnesses in preindustrial society\
I found a really interesting political test http://filteries.com/politics
I've got the only political test that matters right here:
America is the greatest country ever, Y/N?
America is superior to any other country, change my mind.
Define good.
no
Then no it's not.
It's not bad either though.
It's just a joke friend
Because it's a meaningless term with out context.
does islamic culinary culture have anything close to smoking(smoked fish and pork)?
well i don't imagine they have smoked pork ๐
maybe pre-islamic arab culture had smoked pork
like if its banned in the quran than poeple mustve been eating pork to begin with
That's the thing, uncooked pork causes tapeworms
which is a dishonorable, painful death
This isn't a problem we have been able to solve even in modern day
do you eat pork or beef shiv?
i feel like southeast asia and scandanivia use alot of fermented fish in its dishes
Well personally yes
But beef is kinda taboo in most of india
And Pork too
But where I'm from, we use a lot of fish
My understanding was that beef was due to Hinduism but why pork?
Muslim
Its that prominent eh?
It's a battle between Christianity and Islam
Ah
Who can convert more to their side
And my understanding is that Hindus and Sikhs aren't the biggest fans of Muslims either
well....
Not at all
Hindus and Sikhs don't have a problem with Muslims
You could say it's the exact opposite
But, there are violent sects that are turning against muslims as of late
Interesting
It's mostly as a reaction
Cuz we get a lot of Hindus and Sikhs out here, and Sikhs especially are pretty open about how they've been fucked with in the past by Islam
But I don't know how widespread that is. It's fairly anecdotal
Well, Sikhs are technically the warrior class in india
and their enemies were the Mughals
Who were muslims
It's why the religion asks the males to wear an Iron Bracelet and a Knife
among other things
Yeah I'm aware of those last aspects of it
Think of them as the Hindu samurais, on a much larger scale
I've actually been meaning to read more into Sikhism and Hinduism
Well for sikhism I suggest reading the Guru Granth Sahib
That's all they have
That makes it easy
For Hinduism....it's fairly complex. But for the most concentrated version of it's ideals, I suggest reading the Bhagvat Gita
But the Bhagvat Gita is just a part of one book of Hinduism
Sounds good. I'll have to tackle those once I'm finished with the King James Bible
Ah
In fact, it isn't even a part really
the whole book is literally one song
If you want a more complex and interesting look into hinduism, I suggest reading the Vedas
They talk about War tactics, attitudes towards other religions and gods, and all that
I'm on my second year of studying hinduism, and I don't think I'm even half done
It definitely seems like the most complex one of the bunch
hindiiii
It's very complex, because it isn't just a religion, it's a political system and discussion into psychology and philosophy
There's a lot of misconceptions about Hinduism.
Especially about the caste system
People don't understand that there isn't a "lower" caste or a "higher" caste
And you don't have to stick to whatever your caste is
A shudra, from the servant class can become a priest or a warrior, and vice versa
That's the theory, but in practice blah blah blah
i think the sikh was literally founded to combat islamic invasion to the indian subcontinant
So why are there stories about stigmas concerning classes? Particularly when it comes to relationships
Nah, it's the same in practice @Schedrevka
To this day, any sudra can be a brahmin
As long as he/she is able to study
You really don't believe that people treat one caste as higher than another?
No, no.
I'm not denying casteism exists
I'm saying it's not what hinduism prescribes
And the both need to be divorced
Agreed.
It is good that the system has been formally abolished, hopefully the rest of society will continue to treat each other more equally
The caste system as it currently exists, in modern day, exists due to 2 reasons as far as I can see.
One is due to dogma, second is due to our laws.
Because regardless of telling people "these castes are equal" by creating them in the first place it's stratifying people along very clear lines that just due to human nature will lead to discrimination
Which is the same problem intersectionality creates
Well.....there's a difference here.
most of the issues with castes in modern india isn't due to the religion. I can definitely say it's due to the reparations
Not just a lingering of past relations?
Sects are turning against each other, engaging in violent riots to be classified as a "Scheduled Caste"
Jobs are stratifying, let's get rid of them too
Wait.
Oh I see you mean the more recent conflicts
The past relations are only a problem in the most backwards, rural villages in India
Places governed by village governments called khap panchayats
The mainstream media like the BBC focuses on these areas
and only on them
Only a very serious problem, but to say that people have completely given up the conflict within urban centers is simply false. It's not as open, but people still hold onto it on some level
No, not at all.
Simply put, there's no real point of caste discrimination in urban centres
Except for reservations
caste-off your Indian ways! and join the workers revolution!
Wew
Yeah we tried that
it didn't work
We tried it until 1991 in fact
suppose it doesnt go well when half the population poops in the streets
*sigh*
๐
It's just annoying man
That's mainly rural India
mainly
Not even rural
no its legit every non-main street
It's the people who live in garbage dumps
Well yeah, rural is more like in fields
Homeless people
in fields would fertilise land
Stop it dude
just saying it as it is,
Ignoring the horribe truth is what Europe is doing and its never worked well
It's a maymay, but it is a pretty serious problem
Yeah, the horrible problem which isn't actually a problem to anyone except people who don't know what's actually happening in india
It's an awful health risk.
More than half of the world's open defecation occurs in India
Yeah garbage dumps are health risks
who knew
it's an amazing revelations
Its not my problem in the least im half a globe away
You really should do some more research on the matter.
Yeah, I did
Then why are you being an apologist for it?
can we elevate the convo from garbage and tapeworms please ๐
I'm not being an apologist, i'm saying it's not that big of a deal
good idea, lets not talk about the content of LotheoronPrimes intestinal tract ๐
It's like a guy going SWEDEN HAS 200 GRENADES AND 3000 RAPES EVERYDAY
Sweden needs to get its shit together too
" Everyday about 2000 children aged less than five succumb to diarrhea and every 40 seconds a life is lost "
Not an issue though
If you want problems to worry about, worry about the slaves
We can worry about multiple problems, but only discuss one at a time
Jesus fuck
nah we can discuss all problems at the same time, lets make it intersectional
I understand that it's annoying, but it's still a real problem. Just as obesity is in the US
Obesity is a self made problem,
Stop covering healthcare for fatties
^^^^
You didn't know that the banned brigade @'s you?
Because they spam it at least once daily
Yeah about once a day you'll hit the @ cap
If they cant work, they can't eat, they wont be fat for long
Problem solved
There was one day when soup went apeshit
Say what you want about communism, but they've never had an obesity issue.
Wew
and I had something like 900? @'s
Communism is an excellent weight loss system
Is there an actual cap on the alerts?
highly recommended by millions
On mobile there's a cap on the number shown
So you just get like 99+ or something
oh
I don't use mobile so
yeah
Tide pods and communism. More alike than you might've thought
Re: India though, I've also heard there's issues re: sexual assault and Sikh separatism
India doesn't have the greatest track record on women's rights. They've made some seriously rapid advancements in recent times, but still have a ways to go before catching up to the rest of the western world
"Fucking gay is too call a fat dog a fat boi if you do that your a bad boi"- Random white dude
yay, home warranty should be replacing one of my a/c units because its bad
score

"so, just for clarity: your position is that if a person chooses to be in a space then they are automatically susceptible to death threats? also, they should be fine with this? That's the world you want to live in?"
... Do you mean a world where people can talk freely and not worry of being accused of "making a death threat"
And then be jailed
your name is grenade, grenades are deadly weapons, therefore by speaking you have threatened to kill me
get him officer
๐ ๐ ๐
I'm a grenade, back off or I go off!
your name
seriously
should be Grenade321
The thought was "1, 2, 3, *throw*"
Also I came up with this in like 6th grade. All those years ago...
i REEEE at the thought of having numbers in my name
.... instead you have emojis
yes ๐๐ป
i came up with the original version of my name when i was around 6 years old before i even had internet and it has slowly evolved into this
and when i say slowly evolve i mean changed suddenly one day after staying the same for over 10 years
brb finding the embarrassing posts you made on gaiaonline
*triggered*
and i don't mind the discord #, it barely ever shows up and it lets people not have to use perfectly unique names
which is good because if they did discord would be like PoE where everyone's name is a random collection of misspelled words
But on the other hand you don't get to feel like mr cool guy in five years by having an old account with just a single word
eh, the name i use is almost never taken anyways
but still
Mine does
my name's been taken on like 2 sites
i mostly run into the problem when i play MMOs and have to have unique names for my alts
California doj did something stupid again
