2021-01-29 00:44:49 UTC

you said "Fascism is the result of failed communism"

2021-01-29 00:45:02 UTC

So I said that isn't the only way

2021-01-29 00:45:22 UTC

Neither did I. I said that it inevitably follows communism.

2021-01-29 00:45:36 UTC

Not that it cannot arise in other circumstances.

2021-01-29 00:45:48 UTC

Do you understand?

2021-01-29 00:45:50 UTC

right but that's how I read it

2021-01-29 00:46:07 UTC

Oh I understand, I was simply making sure you understood.

2021-01-29 00:47:38 UTC

Huh

2021-01-29 00:47:53 UTC

Communism sets up an unworkable economic structure and a very clear political structure. And because people need some sort of economic structure to fulfill their material needs, Communism will fail. But the Authoritarian political structure will still exist even if the country opens itself to markets. Therefor, it will become Fascist.

2021-01-29 00:48:18 UTC

Which is then followed by capitalism

2021-01-29 00:48:55 UTC

Then by monarchy

2021-01-29 00:49:08 UTC

And the cycle repeats back to capitalism again

2021-01-29 00:49:16 UTC

History repeats

2021-01-29 00:49:57 UTC

Are Fascism and Monarchy all that different, if the Monarchy is not heriditary, though?

2021-01-29 00:50:06 UTC

They are

2021-01-29 00:50:11 UTC

that's what monarchism is

2021-01-29 00:50:50 UTC

A monarchy does not control the means of production but they do control the currency

2021-01-29 00:51:03 UTC

Because all that Fascism really means (according to its creator, Mussolini) is that there is nothing beyond the purview of the state.

2021-01-29 00:51:11 UTC

Facism owns the means of production but does not cintrol tjem

2021-01-29 00:51:31 UTC

Mussolini wasn't the inventor of facism

2021-01-29 00:51:43 UTC

that seems bit hamfisted

2021-01-29 00:51:54 UTC

Modern Fascism.

2021-01-29 00:51:54 UTC

It was a spanish fellow

2021-01-29 00:51:58 UTC

no, but he was the first to control a nation with it

2021-01-29 00:52:01 UTC

Right before him

2021-01-29 00:52:11 UTC

fascism is a way of state>individual

2021-01-29 00:52:24 UTC

and yes communism is as well

2021-01-29 00:52:30 UTC

And this is why definitions are important. Because if we're using the same word but with different definitions, then that's where most of the misunderstanding comes from.

2021-01-29 00:52:50 UTC

what different definitions of fascism are there?

2021-01-29 00:53:04 UTC

There are 72 variations

2021-01-29 00:53:06 UTC

There are twenty definitions on Wikipedia, I believe.

2021-01-29 00:53:25 UTC

72 definitions total

2021-01-29 00:53:26 UTC

oh no it's like gender studies...

2021-01-29 00:53:34 UTC

Mhm

2021-01-29 00:54:09 UTC

Right. That's why I use the definition Mussolini came up with, and make sure to clarify that that is my definition.

2021-01-29 00:54:20 UTC

I use the inventors definition

2021-01-29 00:54:28 UTC

So ya know

2021-01-29 00:54:32 UTC

The original one

2021-01-29 00:55:05 UTC

But not exclusively that one, correct?

2021-01-29 00:55:47 UTC

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/801170151193575475/804515099497726012/imageedit_7_8427896670.gif

2021-01-29 00:55:55 UTC

Because you yourself said there are 72 variations.
And I think my definition is an umbrella term that would cover every single one of them.

2021-01-29 00:56:00 UTC

At the end of the day facism and communism behave the same.

2021-01-29 00:56:08 UTC

Just different justification

2021-01-29 00:57:07 UTC

i like how theres a gap refered to as the Lunatics

2021-01-29 00:57:16 UTC

They behave the same, there's just more death due to famine in one of them ๐Ÿคฃ

2021-01-29 00:59:11 UTC

The idea is that commies and facists are the same with a different paint job

2021-01-29 00:59:41 UTC

So the further from center you are the more different you are, but you slowly become more similar as you get into the extremes.

2021-01-29 01:05:32 UTC

Not necessarily. I would say Paleo-conservatism is pretty well outside the horse shoe.

2021-01-29 01:06:05 UTC

Unless they consider that Center Right?

2021-01-29 01:33:03 UTC

Center right

2021-01-29 01:46:07 UTC

Uh....if Iโ€™m far right conservative where I dislike (and these are just examples) LGTBQ, womenโ€™s rights, hate other races and hate other religions,.. then how can I be similar to far left when they support LGTBQ, womenโ€™s rights, and support other races and support other religions?....that...makes no sense to me.

2021-01-29 01:47:23 UTC

They don't really support any of those things

2021-01-29 01:47:43 UTC

They use it as an excuse to surpress your speech then take over.

2021-01-29 01:48:17 UTC

Both are totalitarian societies that operate the same, they just use different excuses.

2021-01-29 01:48:28 UTC

I said โ€˜these are just examplesโ€™. Which I meant in what I hated and in terms for the argument.

2021-01-29 01:48:57 UTC

It's about control

2021-01-29 01:49:11 UTC

Their motivation is just different excuses.

2021-01-29 01:50:08 UTC

alright, then give me an example of how some polar opposites on that chart are similar together.

2021-01-29 01:52:15 UTC

Communist and facist. Both are police states that have a controlled economy and have a massive disconnect betweem the rich and poor.

2021-01-29 01:52:53 UTC

The idea is that if you are one of the poles then the two idealogies are quite similar.

2021-01-29 01:53:10 UTC

If they are east and west then they are polar opposites.

2021-01-29 01:53:17 UTC

You clearly didn't read what I said.

2021-01-29 01:53:43 UTC

Polar opposites... can mean directly across form each other.

2021-01-29 01:53:49 UTC

No

2021-01-29 01:54:17 UTC

I didn't say anything about polar opposites

2021-01-29 01:54:28 UTC

You did.

2021-01-29 01:54:32 UTC

Like European Socialists and a Fascism Theory

2021-01-29 01:54:43 UTC

Those weren't being compared

2021-01-29 01:54:48 UTC

Communism and facism were

2021-01-29 01:55:01 UTC

Yeah, thatโ€™s was I said. And thatโ€™s what I meant when I said โ€œpolar oppositesโ€

2021-01-29 01:55:08 UTC

European socalism and conservatism would be.

2021-01-29 01:55:27 UTC

Actually look at their placement

2021-01-29 01:56:00 UTC

Since they are east and west they are opposites

2021-01-29 01:56:06 UTC

They are not either of the poles.

2021-01-29 01:56:33 UTC

You do realize, a pole doesnโ€™t mean a north/south comparison.

2021-01-29 01:56:45 UTC

In this case it does

2021-01-29 01:57:01 UTC

Stop worrying about semantics

2021-01-29 01:58:26 UTC

Take a D-cell battery the square battery, for this example. The polar opposites are side-by-side.
Now apply it to that chart. Since polar opposites can be across from each other...I would like you to give me an example of how any two polar opposites on that chart...are similar. Thatโ€™s all Iโ€™m asking.

2021-01-29 01:59:14 UTC

When you are reffering to a globe it means north and south

2021-01-29 01:59:18 UTC

That is a globe

2021-01-29 02:00:51 UTC

Then based off that logic...tell me how these polar opposites are similar then.
Either:
Lunatic fringe and Center
Republicans and Soviet Union
or. Democrats and Fascism Theory

2021-01-29 02:01:13 UTC

I never said anything aboutnpolar opposites

2021-01-29 02:01:15 UTC

You did

2021-01-29 02:01:24 UTC

I said if they are at the poles together

2021-01-29 02:01:32 UTC

Then they are similar

2021-01-29 02:01:52 UTC

So democrats and republicans are similar

2021-01-29 02:02:05 UTC

Facists and communists are similar

2021-01-29 02:02:15 UTC

Are you fucking stupid or just being a pain?

2021-01-29 02:02:58 UTC

Fucking furries

2021-01-29 02:04:46 UTC

They way how you argued that, I took it as the more one direction you go from the circle, the more similar with all extremes you are... not just the right is more similar with the right side, the top more similar to the top, the left more similar to all thatโ€™s left. Etc.

2021-01-29 02:05:14 UTC

That. Was my misconception

2021-01-29 02:05:19 UTC

Everyone else got it

2021-01-29 02:07:28 UTC

But eh

2021-01-29 02:08:11 UTC

Again, my misconception on what you meant by it. Not everyone is going to pick up on what you meant. But thatโ€™s an argument for a different time

2021-01-29 02:08:56 UTC

I suppose

2021-01-29 02:14:33 UTC

the way the political maps are set up arent all much based on ideologs. the way they are set up as followed. the X Axis is Econimical based, if you are more socialist in economics you fall to the left on the map if you are capitalist you call to the right of the map. the Y axis is how much power you want the government to have, with the top of the chart being authoritarian and the bottom being anarchism

2021-01-29 02:14:58 UTC

2021-01-29 02:15:08 UTC

the horseshoe theory really doesnt work if you know what the political map actually is about

2021-01-29 02:16:05 UTC

It is great for showing the actual affects on society.

2021-01-29 02:16:29 UTC

As in it shows what ideologies are oppressive what ideologies are free.
