I feel like a kid rn
<:lolz:480186121897377792>
When I work out with people they make me want to hurt them lol.
I'm cool with obeying my dad seeing as I live in their house but I want to stop doing an exercise when ***I*** want to stop.
how old r u imperial? try and move out asap when u can support urself
I want to be able to push myself to do those extra few reps.
17.
I live with my mom and dad.
nice, going to college?
Yep, for IT.
I want to do something lke trucking driving or being an electrician next year.
cool, i'd recommend that from now u look after ur financnes so after college u dont have to come back home
that's sick man
Yeah man, when you leave home, leave for fucking good.
exactly
empowering too, during ur 20s you should really be making urself - not letting ur parents tell u how to live
My parents say I'm welcome to stay for however long I want (presumably 20 or something, granted they let my older brother stay a couple of days a week).
i get information overload from my parents - it's best if you make sense of the world urself
Basically they've told me they're not going to kick me out.
Iโm 26 and still live at home
Use it
Want to move out tho
To save for your own place
If I got kicked out tomorrow I could easily afford a place.
nothing wrong with living at home - most important thing is having a peace of mind - if you're enjoying life at home live at home
You can save loads from rent and food and electricity
I've got literal thousands in my savings.
Staying at home does more harm them good. Just stunts your growth, even if you're completely secluded and take care of yourself. It's best to get out and be on your own mentally. An unfamiliar roof over your head.
Then buy a property outright
I don't have 100k Unknown.
that's expensive af unkown
^
That's what I meant
You save for that
In other cultures people never move out, they just do a changing of the guard to the children. In the West people can't wait to move out and the rent is like 3x more
Just get a cheap apartment.
Yeah I can kind of agree with you there Unknown, about the saving up for it part.
Rent a room.
While you still live in their house
i guess it depends on ur parents - i wouldnt mind renting a cheap place
You can save faster
I have basically no expenses.
It's better to buy a permanent one
@ToastMcGhost are you experienced in programming? just curious
for some guys they'd prefer to rent a shitty place and save not as much than live at home
I would never rent a room but I know people sharing rent for $500/month.
The only thing expense I have is my Patreon pledge to TFM.
I have 0 programming experience
That's only like $10 a month.
My dad actually advised me not to rent an apartment
Then maybe settle in slowly
toast u wanna come to the programming server?
we're about 10 strong
You use it as your gym when you got a new place
Speaking of Patreon I've been intending to start donating $5 instead of $10.
Yeah I do man
we're currently still setting out the server design, but it'll be good to recruit guys for their input
I'm downloading visual studio
cool
I'm pretty logic minded, I enjoy building or fixing things. I even built my PC
need to find new hobbies
even though I'm right brained
My reasons for not moving out of my parents place: It's free, I have no expenses, it's a traditional environment where mom cooks and cleans and dad works and shit and they're a very loving family.
They pay for groceries and the bills.
I go to college.
Stay as long as it makes sense for you.
They've never asked me for rent, money to pay for the bills etc.
Ride it while it lasts but have your own hobbies
I have some hobbies.
yeah - my parents are 50+ and have 0 hobbies - they're so unhappy
most people don't
they expect their kids to make htem happy
is excessive sleeping a hobby
depends on what u dream
Only if you use scientific terms to describe it
Hypersomnia
No wait that's a medical term
Still medicine is a science
I watch MGTOW content (Messenger Rising, Spetsnaz etc), play video games, exercise, back up MGTOW content.
Recreational unconsciousness
whatever gives you peace of mind
Lmfao
milk it
that's what hobbies are for
Recreational bong hitting
it's nice to have a hobby that's got a good ROI , like programming
ROI?
rates of interest?
return on investment
oh
programming can be used to make ur day job easier
in most cases
i'm plannig to build a python script that can check my emails for me and highlight what acc needs my attention
thing is i fucked up with math so idk if i can really go anywhere far professionally with just programming
There we go, just downgraded my Patreon pledge to TFM to $5 per month.
I never used the two additional rewards from the $10 tier anyway.
dude most guys in IT don't have a degree
let alone math
well maybe not most - probably 20-30%
if you have good personal projects, employers will show interest
