Cabins
Come on over for some grappling
This is a scripted message. An important announcement has just been posted in the #announcements channel. Please review it in detail and follow the instructions given. If we have not conversed recently (or since the last scripted message), give me an update on your organizing and any questions or matters I can assist with. Thank you.
Can you get someone to record a drum roll at a distance of 50, 100, 150, and 200 feet? I want to try to get an idea of the audio strength, and if we'll need a second.
Also, be thinking of some cool rolls or beats to play during infil and exfil via the trucks. Something suspenseful, and fast could be really cool and be essentially a musical cue to get the lead out.
See about recording any ideas for something like that, something for marching, chants, etc. etc. so we can brainstorm. I want you to have some pretty big creative freedom here.
Ok cool. I'll try and see what I can come up with.
Chants will include the typical "life, liberty, victory" which would ideally take up 2 measures. Anything else?
The chants will be either Reclaim America or Life, Liberty, Victory
Got it
I may be able to just improv most of the chants
Either way works.
But I'll try and think of a decent and simple cadence like diddy to play
And I'll work on the recordings this week
Yes, of course. Get creative.
Would something like this work as far as a marching cadence? A little rusty and the audio isn't great but let me know what you think.
I dig it.
Just gotta make sure guys are in good rythym before we get too crazy with the drum rolls.
I agree
How is your drum practice going?
I do say, the 1, 1, 3 tap is a bit, just a bit somber perhaps. What if we brainstorm for something a bit more triumphal? Something happy, almost. Exuberant. Proud. The beginning of what you sent sounds a bit military funeral. This is a triumph, like the legions of antiquity. The culmination of two year's efforts, sacrifices, burdens borne and hoisted high.
It'd going well, man. Haven't had the opportunity to get and record the distances yet but I'll work on attempting that. And ok, that makes sense. I just didn't want to go too wild and confuse everyone, especially those not used to marching to a beat.
It's a bit too late to bother with another drum anywho so don't worry about the distances.
Roger. Carter didn't own one either.
But a bass would've been awesome
As far as the triumphal, more upbeat rhythm...are you thinking 16th/8th note splits mainly to fill the gaps and keep up the pep?
Maybe, I am not familiar with the lingo.
16th notes are 16 notes in a measure, so 4 notes per beat. Likewise, an eighth note is half the speed at 2 notes per beat and 8 notes per measure (4 count measures).
I'll send an audio later on
Sounds good to me.
Just stumbled across this. Give me your input so I can better figure out what you're looking for
Sounds hard to do w/ one drum.
Yea the bass really sets the beat. I'll figure something out.

The opening drum beat of this song is cool. See if you could try it out. Even if just to sample for audio of our own.
I like the groove. Where were you thinking this would be played? Marching or morso so while we are standing or doing some sort of action?
Maybe it could be the "get your ass in gear" sound while people are getting into their ranks from the trucks.
That's what I had in mind. I like it. I'll practice tonight
I trust your musical creativity, I just really like how it sounds. It's a song Mason likes that he's tried to work into videos but it's never panned out.
Well I personally think of it can be worked Into the video, then it's well worth attempting to match the music and playing it
Sure. I may want to try one small thing out during the speech, a 3 beat countdown after I say a key phrase to get the shield guys to pound on their equipment or raise them up, but we shall see how it looks in drilling.
Awesome. Looking forward to it.
This is a scripted message. Please make sure to review the recent announcement. Thank you.
First off, congratulations on a huge success and accomplishing such a feat. Hats off to you.
Secondly, I do think I ordered posters in my last order, but I think Chris may have gotten them. If not, the order number was #570096. We have plenty as a group, so no rush. I just wanted to be sure.
I am simply a vessel. I would be nothing on my own. Manpower transfigures ideal into practice. I had imagined those ranks streaming down those streets in my head for so many months, and only that willingness to commit made it real.
Confirm with Chris. I will check the number.
Absolutely. We all play a role in this never ending fight for a better future. It's an honor to be here.
Ok, I had thought maybe Chris gathered all of our poster orders, but he said he paid for those on the spot. It should be just one order of posters then on my end that's left since I'm pretty sure I ordered several packs of stickers (which I have) and 1 order of posters.
