2 has a proper party
Yup
Hard finding 4 people together tho
It's givin me those warm fuzzy BG2 vibes
Hmm, I kinda like my RPGs more linear
I was never a fan of open world
Too overwhealming
So I preferred games that had one goal but many ways to go about it
I dunno that I'd call os2 open world but I'm not very far in
Well, my issue with OS2 is that sure, there is one goal
But... theres so many ways to achieve it that I always feel that nagging feeling that I missed out on something
Some games are a little more managable.
I actually just do everything and then stumble across other options as I go
Liek for example, in JRPGs I always talk to the NPCs
And some games that compulsion is worse. In Trails of Cold steel, theres this notes system, which is basically a trivia page of the students.
So if I play through and go, oh fuck, I apparently missed one out of them
Id actualyl go back to get that one note even though it has no direct influence on gameplay.
Stumbling just isnt an option for me
I would not recommend playing Romancing SaGa then. On the PS2
Oh I was already warned
Events are made available/unavailable as you level up and there's like 200h of content
Yeah, sounds too open for me
Oh Romancing SaGa 2 is already out, 3 is coming. Scarlet Grace is the most recent one and it's coming here after 3
Romancing SaGa is SNES old
Thats the one
I saw scarlet grace but.. something bout the art style
I love exploring shit
System shock, Romancing SaGa, BG, etc
Even when I JRPG I like to backtrack and find shit
Yeah, problem with the LoH series.
Is that the game is so streamlined
That you do get cut out of quests and worse, hidden ones for progressing
Going back is not an option
The game practically encourages you to talk to every npc. Almost all of which have names, backgrounds and personalities.
Backtracking I dont mind as much
But the compulsion is worse when you cant backtrack
cnn and twitter colluded
although twitter may have been an unwitting partner
and I think its entirely unethical
