Because they chose to be here, and worked for it, and because they can see the cultural differences
Whereas a lot of people in the west have gone culture-blind when it comes to their own nation
Depends. If they're second generation in an ethnic enclave they're likely to experience problems.
They don't want to lose what they just worked so hard to get.
by "here" you mean the US right?
People who move have merit (if the immigration system is done properly). People who are born somewhere didn’t have to work to be there.
my Dem candidate is pro public option thank fucking god
Well I specifically mean Leafland, but it's applicable elsewhere
Make someone work for something and they'll be more apt to treasure it. Give someone something for free and they could just as easily toss it as "easy come, easy go."
it's applicable to legal migrants, that usually go there _because_ of the values of the country
in Europe it's the reverse though
they come for the free stuff
Recent migrants maybe
But Indians came to the UK before then. They came here too. And they're working hard and paying into the system. They're contributing
The problem is that the EU dropped standards in a panic
Polish people go to the UK, have kids, go back to their country and still collect welfare. It's being done for a long while
And took on numbers they couldn't possibly handle
so not just recent migrants
Interesting
That's easily fixed though innit
If someone who wasn't supposed to be here has a kid here, that's not really covered
They just get the boot
in Sweden even ilegal migrants get welfare
so, there are a lot of exceptions in Europe
it isn't a recent thing
Sweden is fucked on all fronts though
But that's the thing anyway, like people need to respect your country
And they won't if you're just like "come here for freeshit"
As much as the US gets ragged on for world police nonsense, there's still a lot of people who want to make the effort and live there
Because it's a nation and a dream they believe in, at its core
I tried to go to the US and gave up after looking at the visas
and I have a Master's degree in IT
It's micro level high agreeableness scaled up to a national level
People are just letting their county get taken advantage of
I kinda wanted to get back to Tim's video though. He totally missed the mark on what was being discussed
There has to be a firm "no" or the mob will come in and say it much more forcefully
I think Youtube is recommending me videos that 'refute' the videos I've watched. I watched a Sargon video that referenced the proposed 'upskirting' law and now there's a video from the BBC called "The Truth about Upskirting", and after watching Tim's video cheekily calling single young men losers, there's a video saying it's OK for millenials to stay single.
Oh the diversity thing? Well in the states part of the problem is that they don't really have an official language. The only catch is their immigration process basically does
the diversity thing isn't related to immigration
