Because they chose to be here, and worked for it, and because they can see the cultural differences

2018-09-11 01:25:26 UTC

Whereas a lot of people in the west have gone culture-blind when it comes to their own nation

2018-09-11 01:25:33 UTC

Depends. If they're second generation in an ethnic enclave they're likely to experience problems.

2018-09-11 01:25:35 UTC

They don't want to lose what they just worked so hard to get.

2018-09-11 01:25:41 UTC

by "here" you mean the US right?

2018-09-11 01:25:42 UTC

People who move have merit (if the immigration system is done properly). People who are born somewhere didn’t have to work to be there.

2018-09-11 01:25:47 UTC

my Dem candidate is pro public option thank fucking god

2018-09-11 01:26:12 UTC

Well I specifically mean Leafland, but it's applicable elsewhere

2018-09-11 01:26:12 UTC

Make someone work for something and they'll be more apt to treasure it. Give someone something for free and they could just as easily toss it as "easy come, easy go."

2018-09-11 01:26:49 UTC

it's applicable to legal migrants, that usually go there _because_ of the values of the country

2018-09-11 01:27:05 UTC

in Europe it's the reverse though

2018-09-11 01:27:09 UTC

they come for the free stuff

2018-09-11 01:27:35 UTC

Recent migrants maybe

2018-09-11 01:28:26 UTC

But Indians came to the UK before then. They came here too. And they're working hard and paying into the system. They're contributing

2018-09-11 01:28:42 UTC

The problem is that the EU dropped standards in a panic

2018-09-11 01:28:53 UTC

Polish people go to the UK, have kids, go back to their country and still collect welfare. It's being done for a long while

2018-09-11 01:28:53 UTC

And took on numbers they couldn't possibly handle

2018-09-11 01:28:58 UTC

so not just recent migrants

2018-09-11 01:29:08 UTC

Interesting

2018-09-11 01:29:18 UTC

That's easily fixed though innit

2018-09-11 01:29:31 UTC

In Canada we don't do the anchor baby stuff

2018-09-11 01:29:50 UTC

If someone who wasn't supposed to be here has a kid here, that's not really covered

2018-09-11 01:29:59 UTC

They just get the boot

2018-09-11 01:30:21 UTC

in Sweden even ilegal migrants get welfare

2018-09-11 01:30:34 UTC

so, there are a lot of exceptions in Europe

2018-09-11 01:30:41 UTC

it isn't a recent thing

2018-09-11 01:30:48 UTC

Sweden is fucked on all fronts though

2018-09-11 01:31:02 UTC

But that's the thing anyway, like people need to respect your country

2018-09-11 01:31:13 UTC

And they won't if you're just like "come here for freeshit"

2018-09-11 01:31:56 UTC

As much as the US gets ragged on for world police nonsense, there's still a lot of people who want to make the effort and live there

2018-09-11 01:32:13 UTC

Because it's a nation and a dream they believe in, at its core

2018-09-11 01:32:39 UTC

I tried to go to the US and gave up after looking at the visas

2018-09-11 01:32:58 UTC

and I have a Master's degree in IT

2018-09-11 01:33:00 UTC

It's micro level high agreeableness scaled up to a national level

2018-09-11 01:33:28 UTC

People are just letting their county get taken advantage of

2018-09-11 01:34:16 UTC

I kinda wanted to get back to Tim's video though. He totally missed the mark on what was being discussed

2018-09-11 01:34:16 UTC

There has to be a firm "no" or the mob will come in and say it much more forcefully

2018-09-11 01:34:48 UTC

I think Youtube is recommending me videos that 'refute' the videos I've watched. I watched a Sargon video that referenced the proposed 'upskirting' law and now there's a video from the BBC called "The Truth about Upskirting", and after watching Tim's video cheekily calling single young men losers, there's a video saying it's OK for millenials to stay single.

2018-09-11 01:34:54 UTC

Oh the diversity thing? Well in the states part of the problem is that they don't really have an official language. The only catch is their immigration process basically does

2018-09-11 01:35:21 UTC

the diversity thing isn't related to immigration

2018-09-11 01:35:26 UTC

I'm not at all surprised by this, @Atkins . Google has done this shit for years
