America is dealing with a sustained migrant invasion just like Europe.
Right now we're living with the consequences of the 1965 immigration act.
dunno, i cant really speak to that too much. here in the south its always been everyone around here
not just one group or the other
people always think the south is just white people down here
def not the case
lol
i would say right now america is dealing with too many failed other nations
and everyone wants a piece of what we got
as it has always been
nothing new on that front
in some ways, i could even agree that we helped cause a lot of those failed nations
Basically everyone is trying to climb onto the lifeboat until it sinks.
yep
nail on the head dev
everyone wants to be on this boat
but the ship can only hold so many
if everyone were spreading out to the midwest it probably wouldnt feel so strained in cities, but no one wants to live in kansas lol
And it can't sustain lunatics constantly trying to poke holes in the floor of the lifeboat.
you arent wrong there, everyone today is so sure their one idea is the one that will save us all
i just dont think anyone's name from this quagmire will be remembered
it will be a period we try to pretend didnt happen
In a less tense era everyone trying to promote their favorite pet ideologies would just be natural political discourse.
Bob, your screen name just made me die laughing
bob rosses asshole is typing thats so funny to me lol
Thank you, I'd just like you to know that my license plate will one day read, "TREES"
nice lol
(first day really trying to join the discussion, some things are still catching me off guard) been a looooooooong time since i joined in on public record
(guess thats also a "please excuse the noob" at the same time)
I'm not a fan of too many migrants making their way into western countries. A lot of people in Cali wanna give them a free pass, especially illegals (I'm mixed on this subject tbh), but it's really insulting to a lot of the immigrants who came here legally and had to work their asses off just to stay here. My parents worked hard to build a life here, I've seen them struggle and grew up with it.
i agree with you bob, i have a lot of friends that did put in the work, and some that did not, and got kicked out.
my best friend from highschool is a canadian who was here till about 05 or so, and the us kicked him out
i kept telling him dude get your paperwork
but he kept comming up with excuses
they tried to work with him, but he just never got his paperwork in and got sent home
i dont blame america for that even a little
Yeah man it's hard. My dad came to AZ from Brazil on student Visa to get a degree. He had to apply for scholarships, his parents could only afford helping him out with rent. Universities are tough on people immigrating here legally but they'll advocate hard for stuff like DACA.
It's a real slap in the face.
one of my current friends is from Brazil as well, i am often worried about his status because he hasnt really said if he is or isnt really legal. he doesnt like to talk about it too much
but like i notice that he never bothers to go get a valid liicense
