they had to swap some items of those stories around for tv

like dany being much younger in the books

im ok with that, from a tv stand point it made sense to me

most of the changes

the show sort of went a little sideways once they got further ahead in the story than the books have got

i do believe they needed the books as a template and map

i sort of wonder at this point if he is waiting for the show to end so he can get the last of the books released without the tv hubbub arround it

the last season on the show really advanced all the slow plotting in a way that hadnt been done yet in the books

this season was really the most hollywood in terms of pacing

they just said out with the old tempo

and in with more fights

They also completely ignored distances

cant say i blame them for the almost last season

And timeskipped as they felt fit
