getting it third hand, but i heard it has something to do with a massive sunspot flare on the horizion they are trying to plan for

so they get rid of the scientists studying it? Sounds kinda off the mark to me

i did hear one theory
that believed it was aliens , simply because it happened right after sepi claimed they got a response from space
the entire thread of stories went dark all the same day
the conspiracy theory channels seem to think it was actually someone using the observatory to spy on the military bases generally in the area, but that sounds like BS since it's got no way to spy on those bases
so this is a really weird story lol
