Tbh BioShock is one of those games I feel only succeeded to the extent that it did because of when it came out

The gameplay of BioShock is like... Generic Xbox shooter. It's slow but passable, carries some vestigial elements of better games but doesn't make good enough use of them

Tbh BioShock probably would have worked better with the formula of Condemned
