YEET

2018-09-18 12:56:43 UTC

does china still hold a large ammount of our debt? i forget

2018-09-18 12:57:04 UTC

everyone holds a large amount of debt

2018-09-18 12:57:14 UTC

i know at one point the fear was that china would call in all its markers and crash out economy by just wanting their money back

2018-09-18 12:57:30 UTC

was a few years ago now, so im not as up to date on that situation

2018-09-18 12:57:58 UTC

china wouldnt do that... it would lessen confidence in china

2018-09-18 12:58:28 UTC

china wouldnt do that becasue they need our business

2018-09-18 12:58:43 UTC

but the tit for tat on trade issues might boil the issue back to the top

2018-09-18 12:59:26 UTC

im no econ expert so i really can only speculate

2018-09-18 12:59:31 UTC

if people think china or any country, would just call in debt early.. no-one would have future confidence in them

2018-09-18 13:00:18 UTC

im not sure what the repayment stipulations are like on that level.

2018-09-18 13:00:57 UTC

let me get back a few billion dollars, really isnt the same level of, hey you are late on a car payment

2018-09-18 13:01:07 UTC

they would have a limit.. usually 10yr bonds

2018-09-18 13:01:49 UTC

thats right, i do remember it mostly being in bonds, i had forgot that

2018-09-18 13:02:59 UTC

you dont want confidence in these going down... https://www.cnbc.com/quotes/?symbol=US10Y

2018-09-18 13:03:25 UTC

well if the economy crashes then all of those are worthless

2018-09-18 13:03:39 UTC

and people/countries holding them

2018-09-18 13:03:44 UTC

will want something else in return

2018-09-18 13:04:05 UTC

thats investing.... sometimes you lose

2018-09-18 13:04:18 UTC

or should I say..... often you lose

2018-09-18 13:04:29 UTC

you really think countries will just say "meh" and move on?

2018-09-18 13:04:54 UTC

its one thing at an investor level we can purchase, its another thing when we are talking about billions of dollars

2018-09-18 13:05:37 UTC

its not necessarily countries... its just people

2018-09-18 13:05:53 UTC

no, im pretty sure the chinese governemnt buys bons daily

2018-09-18 13:05:57 UTC

anyone can invest in a treasury bond

2018-09-18 13:06:03 UTC

Wait... Ben Shapiro is jewish? I've been a fan of Ben Shapiro for the better part of my life, I've always loved watching videos of him owning libtards on YouTube, with classics such as "Ben Shapiro DESTROYS Every College Snowflake Q&A #2" and "Ben Shapiro FUCKS Libtard with Cock made of LOGIC", but I've been hearing some accusations recently and would like some intelligent redditors such as the guy (or girl ;)) reading this to confirm or deny them. Is... is Ben Shapiro actually jewish? Ever since the idea of Ben (((Ben)))? being jewish was introduced to me I've seen him in a new light. When I finally see the climax of a Ben Shapiro video, I no share the laugh of satisfaction with Ben when he puts that liberal in his/her/it's place, instead I feel some kind of... underlying feeling of uneasiness. I no longer see Ben Shapiro as my ally, but as some sort of manipulator. The laugh that used to bring me so much joy has turned into a worrisome cackle, as I watch Ben rub his hands together as if he's scheming as the life drains out of another libtard's eyes.
