so things are moving
I don't know. I don't think truth really matters here.
I've been around some of these types long enough to believe they're going to just make some small revisions that don't matter and keep up the assault.
yeah, its alreadg out. but do we know if npr et al have covered the AIN stuff?

Tim please stop giving these Data Society people the benefit of the doubt.
looks like 6 videos with none newer than 6 months. ~8000 views, 200 subscribers.
What Atkins said. We've known what was going to happen ever since Alex Jones.
he links to it from his twitter account
And Alex Jones wasn't just deplatformed by Oliver Darcy.
and was started september 2006
his neutrality is why we like him and you know it 😝
There was an entire organization behind him.
This is not a mistake on their part. It's not a case of them being stupid or ignorant or misinformed. They know that James Damore is basically no one on youtube. They don't care. It's a scary name to lefties and they can draw lines from other names to him. That's all that matters.
And that next organization is probably going to be Data and Society.
It's also a scary name to Google.
It's just about power. Not truth, not genuinely caring about extremism.
Just power.
everyone really. people fell for the damore = misogynist bigot meme
It's not science, it's not journalism, it's not public service. It's simply a power play and you're on their hit list for a reason.
Along with a whole number of other people.
And distancing yourself is only delaying the inevitable.
They don't care about your denials or disavowals.
There are people to distance from, but at some level, you should atleast be talking with Rogan and Rubin.
And seriously looking into options.
^
They've played this game at the Universities for deacades.
It works. Don't underestimate it.
You should be looking at that list and asking yourself who you're willing to work with and how you can collaborate MORE not less.
And don't play into their hands.
I'm not sure video collaborations really help.
But looking into legal options (a la Prager), and trying to push people to start really fighting back would be a good step.
Hang together or surely you will hang separately.
Collectivism versus individualism be damned. Sometimes you have to fight a common threat.
Individuals banding together isn't collectivism. Where did this meme come from?
Some of the discussions I get here make me wonder.
But I'll leave it there.
But the idea of "common threat" can easily be tossed out by someone just to get you to help them defeat their enemy.
