'Plinker' usually refers to a .22LR semi-auto of some type

2018-09-22 20:28:11 UTC

Oh I see

2018-09-22 20:28:29 UTC

Well, in general a plinker is any .22LR or .22WMR firearm

2018-09-22 20:29:06 UTC

Im also pretty sure shotgun and rifle have some overlap

2018-09-22 20:29:19 UTC

Would a cheap Hi-point pistol fall under the sixth category: shit?

2018-09-22 20:29:30 UTC

They're ugly but they work

2018-09-22 20:29:37 UTC

I forget who they are, but people make a .22LR Colt Single Action Army Cadet Revolver

2018-09-22 20:30:09 UTC

I could imagine someone making smaller calibers of larger rifles as an aesthetic kind of thing

2018-09-22 20:30:18 UTC

High point Pistols are Pistols that work, they are just a very antiquated disign by modern standers

2018-09-22 20:31:03 UTC

Larger rifles? .22 AR-15's are extremely common, do you mean something like that gun Sargon shot in .22? Does anyone have that video

2018-09-22 20:31:23 UTC

Shrug

2018-09-22 20:31:44 UTC

The .22LR versions of other firearms are Cadet verisions in some parlence. I have an ARX-160 22LR, it is a .22LR version of the Berretta ARX-100/160 carbines

2018-09-22 20:31:57 UTC

Is it hard to find 22LR?

2018-09-22 20:32:13 UTC

Only when Dems try to ban everything

2018-09-22 20:32:27 UTC

Yea, ban scares tend to drive up prices a lot

2018-09-22 20:32:41 UTC

this whole new "assault weapons" bill isnt helping

2018-09-22 20:33:29 UTC

I heard things were still pretty cheap.

2018-09-22 20:33:34 UTC

Is it true?

2018-09-22 20:33:36 UTC

Must be why I don’t see many gun vendors as targets by dems, they must keep their mouth shut and wait to raise prices. I’ve really only seen the NRA be slandered.

2018-09-22 20:33:49 UTC

They should just make it illegal to assault people with any weapon. They could call the charge something like "Using a deadly weapon to assault"

2018-09-22 20:33:56 UTC

Cadet (pistols/carbines/rifles) have the same stocks and controls as their full power parrents, but are cheeper and have less recoil

2018-09-22 20:34:10 UTC

@Schedrevka Assault with a deadly weapon? 🤔

2018-09-22 20:34:20 UTC

Hey, that sounds good let's use that

2018-09-22 20:34:30 UTC

Like assault with a tank, because people with tanks are going around assaulting everybody with expensive shells

2018-09-22 20:34:43 UTC

NRA tends to be vocal opponents so the DNC want to get them out of the way so there is no rcoordinated resistance

2018-09-22 20:35:10 UTC

I mean I take it there is a lot of reliance on manufacturers

2018-09-22 20:35:27 UTC

Mostly it's because if they can take out the NRA there's no one organized o resist them.

2018-09-22 20:35:38 UTC

No one large anyway.

2018-09-22 20:36:01 UTC

Just a bunch of people with guns

2018-09-22 20:36:04 UTC

Everytown could be the only large voice on Guns, and they already are way wealthier than everyone.

2018-09-22 20:36:30 UTC

I hear (but can't confirm) Bloomberg has more cash than the entire US gun industry.

2018-09-22 20:36:37 UTC

If true, it says alot.

2018-09-22 20:36:38 UTC

The NRA tends to be the "Union" for Firearm owners, dealers, makers and supporting industries

2018-09-22 20:36:46 UTC

That If organized could fend off the members of the military who didn’t fight against civil rights being taken from common Americans

2018-09-22 20:36:56 UTC

No, that's the national sports shooting foundation.

2018-09-22 20:37:02 UTC

The NRA is more like the AARP.

2018-09-22 20:37:11 UTC

It just collects all the voters and sends them mailers.

2018-09-22 20:37:28 UTC

And launches lawsuits from the grassroots.

2018-09-22 20:37:32 UTC

I use the term "Union" loosely and in quotes

2018-09-22 20:39:08 UTC

Tim's doing stuff at mythcon btw.
