'Plinker' usually refers to a .22LR semi-auto of some type
Oh I see
Well, in general a plinker is any .22LR or .22WMR firearm
Im also pretty sure shotgun and rifle have some overlap
Would a cheap Hi-point pistol fall under the sixth category: shit?
They're ugly but they work
I forget who they are, but people make a .22LR Colt Single Action Army Cadet Revolver
I could imagine someone making smaller calibers of larger rifles as an aesthetic kind of thing
High point Pistols are Pistols that work, they are just a very antiquated disign by modern standers
Larger rifles? .22 AR-15's are extremely common, do you mean something like that gun Sargon shot in .22? Does anyone have that video
Shrug
The .22LR versions of other firearms are Cadet verisions in some parlence. I have an ARX-160 22LR, it is a .22LR version of the Berretta ARX-100/160 carbines
Is it hard to find 22LR?
Only when Dems try to ban everything
Yea, ban scares tend to drive up prices a lot
this whole new "assault weapons" bill isnt helping
I heard things were still pretty cheap.
Is it true?
Must be why I don’t see many gun vendors as targets by dems, they must keep their mouth shut and wait to raise prices. I’ve really only seen the NRA be slandered.
They should just make it illegal to assault people with any weapon. They could call the charge something like "Using a deadly weapon to assault"
Cadet (pistols/carbines/rifles) have the same stocks and controls as their full power parrents, but are cheeper and have less recoil
@Schedrevka Assault with a deadly weapon? 🤔
Hey, that sounds good let's use that
Like assault with a tank, because people with tanks are going around assaulting everybody with expensive shells
NRA tends to be vocal opponents so the DNC want to get them out of the way so there is no rcoordinated resistance
I mean I take it there is a lot of reliance on manufacturers
Mostly it's because if they can take out the NRA there's no one organized o resist them.
No one large anyway.
Just a bunch of people with guns
Everytown could be the only large voice on Guns, and they already are way wealthier than everyone.
I hear (but can't confirm) Bloomberg has more cash than the entire US gun industry.
If true, it says alot.
The NRA tends to be the "Union" for Firearm owners, dealers, makers and supporting industries
That If organized could fend off the members of the military who didn’t fight against civil rights being taken from common Americans
No, that's the national sports shooting foundation.
The NRA is more like the AARP.
It just collects all the voters and sends them mailers.
And launches lawsuits from the grassroots.
I use the term "Union" loosely and in quotes
Tim's doing stuff at mythcon btw.
