the fuselage is all different, the engines are procured separately, the cockpit is placed differently
"The variation between models allows military forces to achieve service-specific mission capability, while still taking advantage the economies of scale that result from the parts and processes that are common to all three variants"
sure, but that didn't require attempting to have them share an external dimension
anyway
I'm sure they'll figure out how to do something useful with them eventually
after enough retrofits
but that won't mean that their best intentions for this strategy will have come true
it remains to be seen whether any efficiency was gained through this process at all.
we'll see.
Watching Tim's video on the disney Princess: I disagree that social justice is a good thing (how tim describes it in particular), because I disagree that racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. are bad things.
at the very least they have been getting the cost per unit down
tbh, the Disney thing isn't even all the SJWish. its almost closer to comicsgaters and gamergaters complaining about changing characters.
lets put it this way, the look was so different i didn;t even know that was supposed to be tiana
idunno, they look kinda similar
eyes, face etc.
it's a different art direction altogether so it's hard to compare
she looks Latino almost in the digital version.
hair way different, skin lighter
looks younger but idk if that is just part of the movie
is she supposed to be black?
yes
I am not familiar with disney films
I mean, there are reasons to lighten skin for film
ultimately, with less light being transmitted, you lose detail
Ya, I wasn't too interested in most of the video, as I don't follow disney either. But tim likes to put some of his opinions in strange places.
not really sure that that's a big difference
I haven't watched this tim video you're talking about though
the hair is the biggest difference
and I obviously have not heard the controversy that sparked it
His opinion on social justice is really the main takeaway I got, well that and people complain about everything, but that's obvious at this point.
yeah, she went from a weave to a... somewhat more believable maybe-non-weave
also looks better in my opinion
well and the color
yeah, it's dyed
it seems
is it viable for it to be dyed, in the context of the story?
i mean, idk, the one on the right is from a movie not yet out
thats just from the promo
