Younger generations have become much more selective with their marriage, meaning the ones who do end up marrying have an advantage going into it. This means many of the people who would've otherwise divorced are simply not getting married in the first place.

So the breakdown of marriage is in fact accelerating. The youngest generations aren't "better at marriage", they're just more selective about it.
