Or something akin to #notall
Yeah but objectively even if you're a partisan there's no way you can take that position even remotely seriously
I'm not going to pretend my side of the aisle is "taking the high road" because I have no interest in the concept.
But to suggest that the left was ever taking the high road at least in the last 16 years or so is laughable
To be fair I haven't really heard the "high road" rhetoric since Hillary said "when they go low, we go high".
I think they know people aren't buying it
@xorgy When is sadiq "terrorism is part and parcel of living in a big city" khan going to be removed from office?
not only is he openly against free speech, pro authoritarianism but is evidently anti democratic too
Next London election I’m sure
Best part of the mythcon panel:
Tim: I've always been a social liberal.
Jeremy: *cough* commie *cough*
He also ruined the only working London bicycle infrastructure program
in favour of something very... soft.
(which can probably be credited with a cyclist's death)
And directed the metropolitan police to waste their time pursuing crimes which present no risk to the public
In a time when the public is at growing risk of heinous violent crime
and looks to blame the steel, once more, for what is done with it.
@JimmyX Despite him being credibly linked to the unnecessary deaths of Londoners from rife incompetence at his office, I think that there's probably going to be enough public support for the guy to get him reelected.
He makes a great _pondering face_ for portraits, and that's probably enough alone to get Londoners to vote.
Don't forget, brown and muslim. It'd be super racist to vote against him.
Just like it's racist to criticize him.
Well, it's worse than that.
These people think they're racist, so when they see that he can meet the basic standard of being able to _speak clearly, stand up reasonably straight, and comb his hair in the morning_, that is just about good enough for a Muslim.
Don't really see how. US just got done with a President like that.
Which is ironically very racist.
Similar to affirmative action. The bigotry of low expectations.
In this case, _very_ low expectations.
Yeah it’s racist to hold everyone to the same standards
But you know, rife incompetence at the behest of identity politics is just _part and parcel of living in a major city_.
I mean, just look at the finest city in America: Detroit.
Where reports of murder are followed up at least 9% of the time by an investigation.
>terrorism is part and parcel of living in a big city
>US has had like 3 since 2001 that made the news, including 9/11
(Granted, Detroit is probably mostly safe for visitors, and the various markets are nice and have a lot of quality produce; I by no means just want to shit on Detroit here)
Interestingly enough, source I'm looking at has the US having a few hundred since 2001.

hmm
Depends on what terrorism is defined as I suppose
They are specifically referring to islamic terrorism
or "jihadist terrorism" in the terminology of that statista page.
Mein Jihad.
Note, they also mention "charge with". So some of those may have been conspiracy to commit, not actual terrorist attacks.
