The intro cutscene got me hating the Strogg

The drop scene was ahead of its time

It literally scared the shit out of me

Also Homeworld is king of the One Cutscene Investment

And the chaos of the assault going FUBAR and ending up as the only marine alive made me hate the Strogg even more

Basically there's a plague that sweeps through an area rendering everyone blind

They start quarantining everyone in an asylum and the idea is that they're meant to get properly fed and supported by the state, but basically things start to slowly break down

It's a very dark look at how humans treat each other, and how they'll exploit the system

You can look at it as an allegory, sure
