I think the right has some built-in slowdown mechanisms, though
The whole limited vs. unlimited vision thing, for one
i honestly never thought the left would go that far, until i learned of communism ofcourse
i think the right has more of a self policing
they force each other to be principled & consistent
the left not so much
Well, yes and no--talk to anyone committed to Russel Kirk's ideas about modern conservatism and you'll see plenty of critique
not to mention they have a drive to have things done
but they don't think all that much outside of that
in their view... why should they? what they do works for them
thats why u get open minded ppl to start businesses
Well, until it ultimately doesn't
and conservatives to run them
the left is excelent at finding new ground, but not very good at maintaining it
the right is excelent at maintaining what exists, but not very good at seeing something new
both have their place in society
in non extremist ammounts
I think that's broad-strokes true, but then I alwasy wonder what's up with the exceptions or people who don't land on either side very well
Peter Thiel is an example
they have a unique perspective yes
but not one i subscribe to
you can't be wrong but you also don't move
"only winning move is not to play"-ism
if you don't play you don't lose but you also don't live
Conservatives haven't conserved very much at all in the culture war with the left.
one one hand... on another...
what's preferable?
they kinda stepped away from the moral stuff
Conservatives have tried to fight back, I'm with them
only to now have the left running rampant with moral stuff into the lunatic spheres
but i can see something that honestly frustrates me
people along the lines of Ben Shapiro
or Lauren Southern
or Alex Johnes (perhaps not him)
there's a clear intent in there
it's not to help
it's to destroy
...
Pardon wha.
You're not alt right, are you?
