I was under no illusion that I would prefer Hillary, however, so.

If he was a Democrat president.
The Democrats would be showering him with praise.
Truth. He was a New York Democrat like ten years ago.
And his policies haven't changed much.
For his bipartisan no nonsense approach to governance.
And for acting on principles instead of party.
Its more that the dems moved left than Trump moved right
Well yes but I speak of the moderate Dems and the Elites.
Weird part for me is that thanks to who I dated in college, I have been sort of watching the entire shitshow coming for decades.
My boyfriend at the time was a philosophy major, doing his Master's thesis. Like an idiot, he decided to do it on Academic Neutrality. Which required him to dig into every sacred cow that couldn't be subjected to academic rigor because it was "too important".

This is actually more about the ideology and the intentional takeover of academia than the political action portion of things.
Well they aren't mutually exclusive.

Apparently, some of the people who did sit-ins and so on, rather than thinking the goal was to get academia back to being ideologically neutral as much as possible, just decided that the whole point was indoctrination, so they might as well take over the inputs.
Like, literally and in those terms.
By the time I was in college, it was well underway, but it wasn't done yet.
Well I was raised in a left wing household that taught me to distrust a lot of information taught to me.
So I was never grasped one way or the other via indoctrination.
I was raised by unreliable authority figures that taught me to analyze input regardless of the source. And syllogistic logic at a really young age. Authority figures hated me.
