So the current strategy is for Biden to speak as little as possible so as to give fewer opportunities for his mental degradation to become apparent to voters. This will probably be sufficient for him to win the nomination.

But there's no way a similar strategy can continue to work for the general election, as he will be expected to do lots of long-form speeches and participate in at least three debates which could last 2-3 hours each.

With pushback and hostility the chances for major confusion and gaffes incrases dramatically. Biden will be unmasked as having dementia if he is the nominee.

The DNC doesn't want Bernie though, so Biden it is.
