Tech monopolies have become a necessity in the modern era because of culture.
So to encourage a boycott or find a quality alternative is incredibly annoying
sounds like an organisational problem to me
if you can't even garner support for your cause
maybe your cause deserves that lack of support
makes sense?
People also dont want to move away from things produced by these companies so...
Because they're convenient
They're easily accessible
And they've typically buy up any competition that might provide a decent alternative

and what makes you think the same won't happen in a scenario where the government doesn't exist
I'm not advocating for no government to begin with? Sooo irrelevant
If anything I'd like to see some anti monopoly laws
New ones at least
don't they already exist
and in a free market why shouldn't they be allowed to exist if they can

Take the reverse of this
*Communism deserves support because so many support it*
i dont think people support communism
you don't think then
Take a look at bernie supporters <:smugon:512048583806025739>
sounds like you guys have no clue about communism in the first place
Educate me, daddy.
Has anyone here read Kapital?
too boring
that explais it
it's literally just numbers, lmao
uh no its not
sounds like you couldn't read it
i mean its okay a lot of people can't
you know Kapital a bit too well, my friend <:hypersmugon:544638648721604608> 🚁
especially the first three chapters
<:tidepodpour:590855656526053376>
but coming back to the free markets and monopolies
why shouldn't monopolies exist in free markets?
Because the executives abuse their employees perhaps
who cares
its free markets
