So uh suppose i bought a bunch of crude oil while its very cheap and then proceeded to sell it once the market normalises what are the chances i make any kind of money, also can i even buy crude oil? Or is it different to shares in that it actually exists and needs to be stored by the buyer, also are oil companies going to lose share value? Sorry im young and know nothing about tradjng
depends what you buy.... you cant really do long term with oil.... unless you pick a stock or something... which wont be aligned with the price of oil
if you buy a cfd they usually only last a month and will close any trade wherever it sits
or... you can literally buy a barrel of oil...

Oil goes down because there's less people buying, it's very expensive to store oil, so it's not really about competition, it's about getting oil out before more comes in
If you imagine it takes up a lot of land, because a fire could light the whole supply if they're all together... Then spread out it's got to all be secured....
