The Tories have frozen tax increases since they got in power

i wrote to my mp weeks ago when the diesel/petrol car ban was announced, looks like they passed my letter on to the Department of Transport, who added it to their consultation

It was labour that increased the tax

"frozen tax increases" is a propagandised way of saying "haven't raised taxes"

since it assumes the natural state of things is for taxes to always go up

No that's exactly what it means... There's no propaganda in that :p
