how is it fake news
yes, but the fact that the chief adviser said that, is not fake news
maybe it's not the gov's policy
lol at the dramatic music on the Independent's spin piece
That clip of him addressing the 60% figure is obviously taken out of context
they should definitely get their shit straight though
if their chief adviser is saying that to major news outlets
and then they deny it
It's not just the independent saying that though
He was talking about herd immunity, that isn't the same as saying it's part of the plan
the chief advisor can say what he wants... that doesnt mean it will be implemented... matt's job is to take the advice from all of the top specialists in every area, virology, pandemic, economical, medical and then make a decision based on all of it
Media are just overblowing shit as per
> Sir Patrick said the advice the Government is following is not looking to suppress the disease entirely but to help create a "herd immunity in the UK"
hello
Ban the 'free' press
ITV
Who's Sir Patrick
THE UK'S CHIEF MED ADVISER
ok.. so "sir patrick" says one thing... Im going to get it from THE GUY ACTUALLY MAKING THE PLAN
Didn't know his actual name
Why does he say the exact opposite of Matt Hancock
"sir patrick" like his name is conjecture lol
no... like Im quoting something...
so if Boris came out and said, we are definitely not nuking Iran ... and some chief advisor said "I told him to nuke Iran" .. would you assume we're nuking Iran... or listen what boris said he would actually do?
Why would Sir Patrick roll with the herd immunity narrative if it's not part of the plan?
I would go by what the Isrealis say
because there are many different advisors from all sectors giving all kinds of advice... some might think their advice is being used... in this case its clearly not..
right
since the guy making the plan... said its not being used
Yeah, I'll go by what Hancock says
wait... I just read this bit 😛 "New television adverts featuring the chief medical officer and voiced by actor Mark Strong will stress the Government's call for frequent hand-washing and ask those with a high temperature or "new continuous cough" to self-isolate for seven days."
We knew that already didn't we?
So high temp and continuous cough are the first symptons
I just thought it was funny that theyd get Mark Strong to voice act it... like.. why??
Hes been in some good movies
Make it sound cooler
actually not a bad idea, for the same reason they use famous actors in adverts for products
gets people's attention
