a few days ago it was said to be about 50k real cases
Yeah but as I said earlier I doubt we have 4 times the cases of Germany
it'd be more now
I guess Germany might have more than it thinks too
everywhere does, naturally, but only a few countries are actually tryharding on that front
we actually test quite a lot
yeah i thought so
obviously its a resource that you have to prioritise
that's why i find the cases vs deaths odd
like you cant just test 65m ppl once a week
tests per capita is the thing
the uk was abysmal until recently
they are ramping it up
so if they tested more, less would've died right?
donno, logical i guess
as more would be forced to quarantine
USA is the worst though
in the west
whereas if you test less, you have to rely on them self-isolating should they show symptoms
and that is less ecure
out of date but gives you an idea
We have a problem. I understand both sides of we aren't doing enough and the government is over reacting. But the Death data has reached a point where good averages and extrapolation is possible.
where is France and Germany on that infrographic
you should fix the typo in your yt username @Current (commentor/commenter)
assuming it isn't deliberate
UK data includes people who died from anything whilst having coronavirus
you'd need to normalise the data if you want to compare like-for-like
643 new cases reported today
slightly down on yesterday which is interesting
surely the others' data also shows that @notaglobe
I don't think so
I think they just take what ever the countries report
someone needs to do data normalisation before we do like-for-like
well that'd explain it then
Does anyone have the testing numbers for Germany?
