I think the case was to do with 3d printed 1 shot guns
It was definitely firearms related
Short of outlawing the ammunition
you cant stop it
im sure the government can come up with a reason to ban gun schematics on the basis "muh used to harm people"
people make guns out of a standard plumbing pipe and a blasting cap
Yeah that'll be the only way gun control could function in the future
If you can just make your own guns without anyone knowing, then the government is fucked
even sub 100 IQ assholes can make em
so
@SideTracker those are sick
Darkest Dungeon is a W
they can make the data illegal just like bump stocks or weed or w/e they want
it wont stop it
you cant make an idea illegal
but it will let them send you to jail if they catch you
Why waste the time and effort to accurately design a functional 3D printed firearm in AutoCAD *and* purchase a metal printer - when I can buy one from Jamal for 1/10th the cost?
theres no stopping zip guns lol
There's already court precedent that you can't do that @Xenon
they would probably just make it so that all 3d printers had to be manufactured to refuse to print weapon parts
illegal firearms have always been yaknow illegal
the point is
it doesnt stop criminals
right
A bit like how printers refuse to print money
it doesnt stop people from doing it
but yeah
The guberment tried to ban a 3d print file of 1 use [plastic guns and they got cucked
but they can arbitrarily send people to jail for it anyway
>printers refuse to print money
What kind of fucking printer do you have
3D printed firearms are remarkably unreliable.
yes
The price to produce is ridiculous.
but it only takes some light engineering knowledge and machinist knowledge
It’s not a realistic concern.
an AK upper is simple
fucking drearily simple
Yeah not right now, but the tech is advancing
