Nearly anything worth anything is third party.
That's the whole appeal, you know, of linux
there's as many linux distros as instances of people feeling like making a distros, you can cherry pick for ANYTHING in there
also if i was saying linux got everything sorted i wouldn't say linux is pretty suboptimal for gaming
Oh the caveat you set yourself up for to start with
@The Roman Emperor they fucked that up, it's cock with a glock
So you could fall back when the truth slapped you across the face with it's huge cock
Facr is Linux is, on a good day. A Hodge podge of mix and matched shitty tools that barely work
And on a bad day a permissions nightmare
Nothx
the point of linux is for the user to be able to tinker
you don't get much of stuff locked out by default
I'd rather not have to download dozens of scripts to get anything working.
nor you have to go through a buncha hoops to say, install a different one
And have to keep a 4 time series on how I set it up in case hevaen forbid I make any core hardware changes.
That then proceed to break. The whole thing.
Linux is a huge time sink
you can get one of 'em easier linux distros, where it's easier to install than even windows
and everything works out of the box
And I refuse to use it unless I'm paid to, cause I'm not gonna troubleshoot that shit for free
@Marcus Australius better saga than the sequals i tell you what
@Cryrosphere this one has an actual story
as if one didn't have to troubleshoot windows shitting itself all the time
Imagine thinking anything works out of the box with any Ubuntu derived distro, or mint, etc.
Indeed
Rather than whatever the sequels were
I don't, because windows doesn't
not sure how you manage to not get stuff working out of the box with mint
I don't see how people have so much trouble with Windows.
my 60 year old mother uses mint without issues
Like maybe some people really shouldn't be using computers.
Is there a version of Linux that make your window look like some high tech space Station command?
98% likely it's a thing out there
