Here's the way it works:

The liberal, fiscal rightwingers want migrants so they can depress wages for natives by having access to cheap migrant labour.

The left wingers wanr migrants so they can create a welfare dependant voting bloc for themselves.

Both sides happily stab the native citizens in the back. Meaning that the only choice for natives is to vote nationalist.
