Canada has some wild taxes to pay for our healthcare

but that means as long as my insurance holds up I can walk to my family clinitian, act for a refill on some skin cream I need once or twice a year because seasonal dry bullshit, and I can just go get it without paying the doctors

downside is our system has much longer wait times

I had to get a minor-moderate surgery a few years back and the wait list was almost a yaer, which kinda sucked

but again, insured

because taxes pay for it

Maintaining the public option whilst also keeping private insurance is the most economically viable and socially desirable option for the US

The main aspect is that healthcare is an entirely economic issue

for me it was just a cyst in a painful spot but I dealt with it

With the Republicans wanting a system centered solely around private insurance, Moderate Democrats wanting a public/private split and Progressive Democrats wanting only a public system

Even if you must have welfare systems, don't have the one like the UK
