Oh, I'm not defending Amazon in the slightest and that kind of corporatism is disgusting

2018-11-14 21:44:09 UTC

But speaking more in general terms

2018-11-14 21:44:17 UTC

Amazon is a revolution in the market, you can get almost any product you want from almost anywhere in the world in the most efficient way possible. How is that disgusting

2018-11-14 21:44:27 UTC

What does socialism do to farmers

2018-11-14 21:44:45 UTC

They bring it to you at the lowest price, amazon only has a 2% profit margin.

2018-11-14 21:44:52 UTC

"Disgusting." Huh.

2018-11-14 21:44:52 UTC

The government giving unfair advantages to corporations

2018-11-14 21:45:44 UTC

Which is the doing of lobbyists

2018-11-14 21:45:50 UTC

@>_ yeah, it's hilarious, Amazon had an even narrower profit margin than that until recently

2018-11-14 21:45:55 UTC

I don't like what Amazon is doing to domestic markets

2018-11-14 21:46:00 UTC

it's literally globalist

2018-11-14 21:46:02 UTC

@>_ by many accounts, Amazon could qualify as a non-profit.

2018-11-14 21:46:07 UTC

until recently

2018-11-14 21:46:07 UTC

I support tarrifs but o/w it's fine

2018-11-14 21:46:09 UTC

Basically

2018-11-14 21:46:10 UTC

lol

2018-11-14 21:46:31 UTC

The problem is that the government taxes everyone else

2018-11-14 21:46:38 UTC

not that they don't tax amazon

2018-11-14 21:46:47 UTC

Absolutely

2018-11-14 21:46:55 UTC

I don't support tariffs on their own, but I have confidence that Americans can compete globally if allowed to.

2018-11-14 21:46:58 UTC

Obamacare crushed small businesses

2018-11-14 21:47:02 UTC

Because it was a tax

2018-11-14 21:47:23 UTC

Americans already compete globally

2018-11-14 21:47:28 UTC

We fucking kill in entertainment

2018-11-14 21:47:35 UTC

If interim tariffs are used to allow Americans to compete on equal footing in more markets, then I don't mind them

2018-11-14 21:47:39 UTC

but the key word is interim

2018-11-14 21:47:39 UTC

So who wants some tea and crumpets with Jack Daniel's

2018-11-14 21:47:51 UTC

for them to have negotiating weight, we have to be willing to ride them out

2018-11-14 21:48:05 UTC
2018-11-14 21:48:08 UTC

but for them to have social utility, we have to be intent on reversing them

2018-11-14 21:48:17 UTC

😂

2018-11-14 21:48:21 UTC

difficult balance, absolutely essential

@Beemann If they were part of the US we'd actually develop them and Canada would probably make more money from it than they do now. If you guys had any intentions of developing it you'd have done it.

2018-11-14 21:51:41 UTC

Who is happy that canada does not have nukes

2018-11-14 21:51:44 UTC

Doesn't matter. Canadian soil. Just close the borders if youre worried about space m8

2018-11-14 21:51:54 UTC

I had one of my democrat socialist friend ask me if I look up to Noam Chomsky. I glanced it off because I'm not trying to get into arguments left and right anymore. Thinking back on it I wonder if they even know Noam Chomsky's thoughts on Socialism and Social Marxism.

2018-11-14 21:52:34 UTC

From what I understand the only part of Canada that is really developed is Ontario. Every other part is wilderness occasionally penetrated by narrow highways.
