Sunni Islam and Salafi Islam get conflated very easily because they're similar

meanwhile Shia Islam is completely different

Shias have their issues as well

They're different based on who they believe as the successor to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

Both Sunni and Salafi islam follow the teachings of the same successor

meanwhile Shia's follow the other successor which is the prophet's relative

One was picked by the prophet the other was picked based on bloodline

and then after that it spread out and then people started inserting their culture into the religion etc
