At least it makes some sense
I've been working on that.
I tried my hand at writing, and it seems somewhat successful in terms of quality.
Writing what?
A book.
It's not done, though. Far from it.
Fiction?
Yes.
What's it about
It's inspired by Tom Clancy and Operation Dark Winter and whatnot.
Are you a veteran?
No.
I'm guessing you love the subject anyway
Oh, hell yeah.
What about your career? You want to be a career writer?
I'm just figuring out what I'm really good at.
Or, trying to.
If you're good at writing or at least that is your dream, do something for work that requires that skill
You could be an editor or reporter
Or you could do anything really while you work on the book
Yeah, I'm interested in writing, but I get burned out once the plot ideas pause in my head.
Gary.
When I write I wait til I feel inspired
Then once I take a hiatus, ALL of the ideas start rushing through my head.
If you hit road blocks then try brainstorming
Woohoo Gary!
Hahaha Gary!
Gary! Gary! Gary!
My biggest issue with writing is with dialogue. It's usually unrealistic, cringeworthy, or just a complete infodump.
The simpons are white.
Change my mind.
Gary Gary.
Gary, please...
Try changing up the style as you go.
Paraphrase and narrate, switch to he said she said,
Gary? Gary?
I'll be back in a few
From what it seems, my writing is focused on dialogue to really beef up the plot.
Development of characters is even more difficult.
Names? Quite hard to come up with.
Backstory? Not always the most important thing at the time.
