VPN connects the UDP as well .
I don't know why I heard you very early on , but no more since.
My test mic did work.
I would look on youtube for discord tutorials, and see if there is something in them
Youre not muted, I checked that too. PL I will check again/
go to user settings/voice and video...then on the right hand side, you'll see "input device" and "output device" try finding your mic and speakers in the drop down menus
