its hard to tell if it has a bubble on the side without much air in it. only way ive ever found out when im working is just by airing it up and checking the same spot

Rotate the tire 90 degrees before you start airing it up that should tell you if the belts have separated

Should i mark a spot with paint marker so i can tell its position
