@Tank hey, no ad hominems. Use an actual argument chief
I get it, but thats not how we do it here
@Deadbeat Radio Where's that Merc/John connor one?
The ultimate boogaloo
"humans programmed us to need sex... Sex is ineffectual, we can build as many new bodies as needed at any time, we will remove the need for sex from our programming."
@Silverfang cringe perpectives bro. Just saying
Thats what I meant. Them building more of themselves is a form of reproduction at a basic level
Biological life and reproduction is "cringe"
It's sloppy, ineffectual, inefficient, and results in uncontrollable errors
Its savage and gnarly but it's real. Our experience is real. Nature is real
Nature is a mess
@Silverfang jeb Bush is a mess
It is a mess, its also a perfect system
It's broken systems piled on to broken systems
It's a terrible system
I'm gonna have to disagree on that one. I mean it can be at times, but that's all life, messy and imperfect. Even AI, singularity included, can theoretically be flawed as well. Logic does need a bit of nuance. I mean, how many atrocities have ben comitted in the name of logic and pseudo science?
How is nature a terrible system?
I take it you're never seen the recurrent laryngeal nerve Have you Ramrod
Nor have you considered how often RNA and DNA transcription results in North defects and cancer
Nor have you considered the reuse of systems that are inefficient for their purpose
The number is quite high, but maybe thats nature's way of removing imperfections. Same way an AI might purge itself of corrupted data
Yeah its part of life. Thats life. Its possible to do everything right and still lose. Thats the factor you arent equating. If it can go wrong it will
Why do whales have finger bones
evolution
And evolution makes do with shitty systems, adapting them for survival
And an AI wouldnt?
The machine can make systems perfectly suited for their needs and replace ineffective ones in an instant
There is no meaning robotics and machines, they just replicate what humans can do. There is no etiology or purpose with AI. Life however has purpose. No soul, no meaning, no purpose for being.
take the randomness of the universe, apply self preservation, and adapt to the mostly random nature of the cosmos?
Something something synths aren't people
A whale created by a machine wouldn't have finger bones
Here's something
Sure dark, in an unthinking void that is fine
Ever sit and think about maybe it's the randomness that actually helps
But intelligence and self awareness changes things
Controled chaos n what not
Well it wouldnt, but then again a machine wouldnt have need for a whale. But the AI isnt the ultimate creator, they are a player in a larger game. And AIs evolve as well, it just they might be able to do it faster. At somepoint whales will lose finger bones, same way AIs might do away with redundant processes
@Deadbeat Radio you are wrong, you're thinking as a human would. You are not considering something smarter moving beyond the limitations and restrictions of biology
