Like I have to wear a mask when I get called to a medical call at someone’s house, then basically interrogate them to try to figure out if they could have been exposed. And only then can I take the mask off.

And if I get exposed at work it’s mandatory 14 days self quarantine.

But people think “ if I get the same N95 mask EMS wears then I’ll be safe “ but those masks only work against particles and shit like TB. But it’s the best thing we get if the field.

People think it makes them invincible to the virus if they just wear gloves and a mask. But it doesn’t. And then people spread and so forth and so forth

I read somwhere, that usually it takes 8 months to come with the vaccine on average.. thats leaves is 5 months to go but I could be way sooner this time

I'm with the idea that it's been here since the middle of December. Many healthcare facilities reported flu like and upper respiratory symptoms that didnt test positive for the then currently known flu strains through the end of December through janurary. I'd bet a lot of people have already had it and never even realised it

So I’m my opinion, yes and no. So everyone is right the virus is just a strain of the flu, that’s mutated to a new form, so bleach can’t kill it but alcohol can. But the only people who should be extremely worried is people who are either 8 and below or late 50s and higher. Or if you are immunodeficiency, like diagnosed from a doctor deficiency.

The scary part comes from the numbers that are projected, people are dying in huge number s. But I don’t think it’s something to be worried about. Because when the Flu first came around we had the same issues, everyone was scare and people were dying like crazy

Eventually a vaccine will be made, but it’s just a matter of time because it’s still a newish virus

So in long and short, it’s something to worry about but not world ending. Wash hands, don’t go licking door knob. Drink half of your body weight in water and change your socks and you should be ayyy ok

I was seeing numbers last night. It was like 162k confirmed cases in the world and like 5800 dead worldwide. That's like under a 4% mortality rate. In the US at roughly 3300 infected and 61 dead that's like under 2% mortality
