For bitcoin ?

2018-12-21 09:48:24 UTC

I'm surprised how many people don't understand the concept of trading in bitcoins immediately.

2018-12-21 09:48:33 UTC

"It's a gamble"

2018-12-21 09:48:52 UTC

Er theoretically if the market changes that drastically in a matter of minutes.

2018-12-21 09:52:43 UTC

I think its due to the numbers compared to national currencies,

like 5 days ago a bitcoin was worth like 3,200 dollah, now its 4,000

whilst the dollar only changes like a 1/10th of a cent

2018-12-21 09:54:22 UTC

and then in shock they rationalize it to

"Thats like almost 200 per day"

2018-12-21 09:55:05 UTC

"which is almost 8 dollars per hour!"

"So if my next trade lags i might end up short!"

2018-12-21 10:22:22 UTC

I guess.

2018-12-21 10:22:32 UTC

The alternative is letting tyrants buttfuck us.

2018-12-21 10:28:38 UTC

somehow i see that happening regardless,

If it becomes a mainstream thing, they'll try to control it

2018-12-21 10:55:19 UTC

Gold was the mediaeval Bitcoin

2018-12-21 10:58:29 UTC

atleast gold has an actual use 😉

2018-12-21 11:07:57 UTC

really?

2018-12-21 11:08:40 UTC

don't see much use for a private person

2018-12-21 11:10:08 UTC

but at least there will always be a demand for the resource gold

2018-12-21 11:10:40 UTC

It doesn't matter how much "use" you see for gold

2018-12-21 11:10:48 UTC

it is shiny, and people like shinies.

2018-12-21 11:10:54 UTC

hence it has value to 99% of people.

2018-12-21 11:19:24 UTC

Do people like shiny vecause it has value or the other way around

2018-12-21 11:28:29 UTC

I imagine the other way around

2018-12-21 11:28:43 UTC

because at some point someone found gold and was like "OOH SHINY I am gonna make bling out of it."

2018-12-21 11:36:00 UTC

Gold is also a great conductor

2018-12-21 11:36:17 UTC

And it was used to prove the nature of alpha particles

2018-12-21 11:36:58 UTC

yeah but that didn't matter when we were shitting in pots and dumping it out the window

2018-12-21 11:37:21 UTC

We didn't have gold back then though

2018-12-21 11:37:36 UTC

It was only after atleast the iron age

2018-12-21 11:37:48 UTC

Or the bronze age

2018-12-21 11:38:07 UTC

I think you understimate how long we were shitting in pots.

2018-12-21 11:38:12 UTC

Une flamme sacrée, monte du sol natal, et la France ennivrée, te salut Maréchal !

2018-12-21 11:38:28 UTC

The harrapans had a sewer system with a flush

2018-12-21 11:38:38 UTC

It just depends on which area you're talking about

2018-12-21 11:39:03 UTC

well just because one civilization had plumbing doesn't mean..

2018-12-21 11:39:08 UTC

that we aren't still shitting in pots
