I use to be to do a mile in 5:30 minutes
I try very hard to not be dragged into their bullshit.
You can argue whether or not that certain lack of boredom is good or bad, but it's definitely not boring
I am 100% for freedom of speech.
But what it means is that offensive people are not punished by the state, it does not mean that offensive people need to be talked to
Now I can hardly get to 1 mile in 15
Boy have I been slacking
I think talking to offensive people is important though
you can learn a lot of perspectives that way
I ran a 5:45 ONCE in 5th grade cause a cute honey I was interested in was a runner and I had to keep up with her
I almost died
If someone's offensive, they can be offensive as much as they want because freedom of speech. But that doesn't protect them from suffering consequences of their speech, alienating themselves and turning everyone against them.
running a mile in 10 minutes was the best running time I ever had in HS
I ran a consistent 5:30
Free Speech tends to balance itself out.
If I kept it up
I could be doing 4 minute miles by now
My friend had a 4:30 minute mile
I like to learn what makes "offensive" people say things and act the way that they do
I spend 20 minutes running around the block every day.
He got a track and feild scholarship
I spend like maybe... at best 20 to 30 minutes starting at 8 am in the morning.
Never could get beyond 5 minutes
People are not offensive.
People are offended.
hence the quotations @Paradox
What if they are hideously ugly
Running tends to wake me up.
Or smell REALLY bad
that's your decision to judge their exterior characteristics
Taking a hot shower after running helps.
😃
you''ve answered your own question
is a bad smell a person?
I try to judge people based on their content of character.
I am on the job
Well what about the hideous thing
End up being a good judge of a character how they act in the first 30 minutes.
They have a free gym here
So I have using it on my breaks recently
I've worked with disfigured homeless people and they are some of the nicest people I've ever known
