they're working on year 2000 business practicies
It did
i.e. realeasing a madden every year
Without updating content
they haven't figured out how to compete with indie devs
Adding microtransactions
nor replicate
Selling keys instead of copies
their overhead is a ton higher than some random dev like chucklefish
<a:tfman:529522210054995968>
so they have do resort to this and they have to answer to shareholders
Also engine use is op
and be very risk adverse
unfortunaly that only works so long
for any business
same is happing to apple right now
they arne't innovating
Same with samsung though
the only thing keeping them propped up is people's reliance in the app store and their purchases
if they could move to another platform and keep those, they would consider it more
and music and anything from Google
They suffer from other issues though imo
Sure, but it's not like apple
android have phones at every price
i.e. you can get a very awesome phone (from 3 years ago standars) for $100usd
Apple i hate with a passion because its not developer friendly
aslo the bigger issue is everyone that was going to get a smartphone has one
Nb4 xorgy comes in
so they have to convince people to upgrade
1000$
the *good* thing is hopefully what happens is a price war comes in because features arne't worth the upgrade
For a phone
yeah and thats actually a good price all things considered
You can get a very usable computer at that level
for the amount of r&d that goes into it and the power of the size
miniturization always costs money so you can't compare to computer
that being said the prices are inflated
but that might see a downtrend if apple starts losing sales
and samsung
I can when we are talking 1000$ for a phone with lack of features
